Agreed. It's sad, but many people disliked Majora's Mask on the basis that it was different from OoT instead of enjoying it for its own merits, which were extremely numerous. A Zelda game? Where the puzzles aren't just "Come back later when you have this item"? What blasphemy is this? Give me a straightforward adventure game!
As for the industry... Capcom.
But I did enjoy OoT. I just think that almost every console Zelda game since then has outclassed it. I think it's funny how everyone hates so many elements of the game (Water Temple, Navi, Jabu Jabu), but wants every game to be like them.
It's sad. But video games are dying once again, and this time, instead of just coming in to fix it, Nintendo's a part of it. Video games will recover, there's no doubt about it, but I have a feeling a huge change is about to happen, and the market will never be the same. Maybe it'll be a good thing, though.
