Community Samus Design Issues That Need Resolving Video

I was playing some friendlies with a Jigglypuff player at GU, and my charge shot got absorbed by a f-air. Unbelievable.

Ideal Changes for Samus to become viable

Assuming the frame data for jab 1 and jab 2 remained the same, and jab 1 received increased hit stun to link into jab 2, then jab 1 to d-tilt would be damned close to being a guaranteed link, if not guaranteed at any %. The timing is pretty close as-is. D-tilt has a lot of follow-ups, which...

    Metroid Prime: Trilogy

I've been playing through the games slowly since I posted this thread. I'd forgotten how alien some of the bosses in Echoes are. Chykka in particular has a very weird vibe to it.

    Metroid Prime: Trilogy

Going back to the subject of the Prime games, it's amazing how well the art direction holds up these days, even when you push the game far beyond its intended resolution. A user on Reddit named VG5K uploaded a gallery of screenshots from Metroid Prime rendered at 5K, and it looks fantastic...

    Metroid Prime: Trilogy

I'm going to tentatively disagree with you, but only on the gameplay front. The story was indeed awful, but the fundamental mechanics were very close to being a natural evolution from the 2D games. The basic Metroid "runny-jumpy-shooty" felt as fluid and natural as it did in Super Metroid...

    Metroid Prime: Trilogy

Even though it's upscaled from 480p, the art direction is still outstanding! The motion controls are mandatory for all three games in Metroid Prime: Trilogy. Despite the loss of most of the sequence breaking exploits, I feel like the new controls make the experience far better because they...

Mario Universe Predictions for Mario Party 10 (and discussion)

I'm very disappointed in the lack of Boo in recent games. Sad to see that trend continuing with Mario Party 10.

What games do you play competitively, besides Smash if applicable?

I transitioned from Smash Bros. to Street Fighter a while ago, but I still occasionally enter events for Project M.

Mission Briefing - The Samus Social

I just thought of a d-throw follow up myself. It seems like it should work at lower percents but I'll have to test it. Grab > D-throw > Boost Ball > Jab 1 > Grab > D-throw > Dash Attack, Screw Attack, or Charge Shot EDIT: Only works at mid percents with specific DI.

Mission Briefing - The Samus Social

Dash attack seems to work as a follow-up on most characters, but it isn't very intuitive for starting combos on stages that aren't Infinite Glacier.

Project M 3.6 Online via Dolphin Netplay Setup + Optimization Guide

Are you sure you have all Wii Remotes set to off and Insert SD Card is disabled? Your processor is fine, but the integrated GPU isn't even close to powerful enough to run Dolphin well.

Mission Briefing - The Samus Social

Do the throw release points feel different to anyone else?

    Differences between offline and netplay

This has nothing to do with what he's referring to. He's asking about Dolphin netplay, not Wiimmfi. The netplay GCT adds a few lines of code to unlock a few characters to prevent CPU challenges from interrupting longer sets. This was done because the Dolphin build used for netplay can't load...

If there is ever a balance patch, what changes would you like to see on Samus?

It's not true. Either he read that somewhere or didn't test thoroughly enough. The sour-spot hitbox still exists and causes horizontal knockback.
