Differences between offline and netplay

So I just have a general question about the difference between using an ISO builder for offline play only and for netplay? What are the main differences (aside from one being able to go online and one not) between gameplay, content, options, etc. I do know that there exists the option to create a separate save file for netplay, but that is about it.

Is anything removed for creating an ISO for netplay?

Edit: This is for PM 3.5.

when you go to projectm website and go to download it tells you outright the differences, first thing under introduction. TheLazy is a good username. :p

FULL SET VS. WIFI-SAFE
The Full Codeset takes advantage of all that Project M has to offer. However, for WiFi and replays to function properly, the WiFi-Safe set must be used. The WiFi-Safe set does not differentiate between L/R lightpress and full press or have C-stick buffering, nor does it have Stock Control or Stage Strike. The PMBR recommends you play with the Full Codeset unless you're specifically using WiFi/Replays. You may switch between these two builds simply by replacing RSBE01.gct, the menu2 folder, and the system folder.

This has nothing to do with what he's referring to. He's asking about Dolphin netplay, not Wiimmfi.

The netplay GCT adds a few lines of code to unlock a few characters to prevent CPU challenges from interrupting longer sets. This was done because the Dolphin build used for netplay can't load or save data, so there's no way to avoid them. Battlefield and Smashville are also replaced with visually downgraded versions to help people with lower-end PCs maintain full speed. It's currently unknown as to whether or not any of these GCT changes will cause behavioral differences on the console, but it's best to play it safe and use the GCT and files from one of the full set downloads.

Ah okay, so the changes are mostly graphical and also have to do with interruptions online. Thanks.
