Go to training mode to dreamland (can also do hyrule since it is a large flat area). DJC just takes time so just mess around in training mode. You can practice parrying with a red shell on these stages to get the timing down. You can also practice edge cancelled eggs on these stages as well.

I don't know how you would enforce that at all especially top level players where making them approach would be the same as saying give your opponent a free hit/very likely stock. Forcing one player or another to approach would also be arbitrary which was part of the problem. Boom was ahead in...
