It's easy and that's really my only complaint, but then again, I've not got my hopes set on an FE7 or an FFT.
The story is what you'd expect from a Pokemon game. A little bit of funny and a whole lot of "go to each of these places to beat these people then get to see that legendary Pokemon." The generic units are generic, but the unique warlords are charming. When you see Yoshihiro's Gurdurr smile, you will **** bricks. The game's system is very good outside of battle. You control X amount of Kingdoms and you have to delegate forces both to defend your kingdoms and to capture others, so you have to use much more than the allotted six units per battle. In battle, the system is very simple. Each Pokemon has one move and it changes upon leveling up. Each Warrior has a skill they can use to help their Pokemon and items. Player phase and enemy phase. A few varying objectives to win battles (such as capture or hold the banners as opposed to defeat all enemies).
I'd say 7.5/10.
