Nothing wrong with being a beginner. We all start that way. There's plenty of resources out there if you want play on a deepish level. Plus these games are still tons of fun casually too. You can't go wrong with giving it a shot.

I'm most interested in KOF, GG, Marvel and Tekken 7 in terms of my EVO watch time. That being said, I try to make sure I watch all the top 8s for every game,as I enjoy watching high level play in general.

Regarding the actual biology of inklings, they seem to be pure squids at birth but develop into those horrible hybrid ambitions before becoming kids. Really they're just freaks of nature, both vertebrae and yet not. Odd creatures, they are.

Gamespot just put out 7 new minutes of the DBFZ. Nothing new in this video, but it's just a nice reminder how gorgeous this game is. It's a dream come true, really. I can't wait for all the footage reveals to come in the future. Here's hoping I get access to the beta.
