Really quick, do you thing Planking should be banned? If so, then IDC should be banned too. Why? For the same reason you just presented. He's right: people WILL stall out IDC-using MKs and win. Why? Because they have nothing else to do. Unless you want Brawl to become the game everyone thinks it's going to become, the IDC should stay banned.
Or... you could go to a Brawl tourney and use it in the way you describe, to show that it's not broken and it's beatable. The rule of the tournaments are up to the hosts, not the SBR. Remember that.

2. Stop trying to win your arguments about IDC. Hylian's way right, since you have pretty much zero tourney experience.
Are you serious? Do you play competitve brawl? Do you go to tournaments? I've traveled far out of my state for tournaments and been to close to 50 brawl tournaments by now. I've also been to over 100 melee tournaments. I can tell you, from experience, any good player can kill 8 minutes with 3 stocks. Brawl has so many defensive options this isn't difficult for any good player. I could get over 20 top players to agree with me. If you seriously think I, or any other good player, can't run away from a MK for 8 minutes with 3 stocks then I can't honestly believe you have any tournament experience. It almost seems like you have NO idea what you are talking about. This is crazy.
There doesn't have to be a non SBR ruleset. You find those all over the place in tournament threads. If you want to convince someone to unban IDC, convince tournament hosts personally.
Your rules changes the fundamentals of the game. If the MK wants to IDC, then the opponents prime strategy is to run out the clock, which is very easily done in brawl. It tests a different skill set then we want tested in tournament and it goes against the fundamentals of the game.
It might of stayed open if anyone agreed with you. There were just circular arguments and pretty much everyone agreed but you. You are just being stubborn and refusing to accept that this will not be unbanned.lol its ok, i figured it would be locked... and it still says "awaiting registration" under bengals name... so i have yet to upload the video.... things arent going well anyways with recreating it AT ALL
