Haven't been active in awhile here. How's everyone? And glad to see the Shantae support is still strong here. Fingers crossed for the Game Awards!

Sorry if I haven't been active here for awhile guys. I've been busy playing Smash Ultimate. And with the talk about Joker from Persona being the first DLC character I heard they're focusing on getting more third parties for the Ultimate DLC which could mean Shantae might be within those DLC...

I'm sorry but I just don't see it with Shovel Knight. That's all I have to say about that.

That's because he can't really do much. All he can do is dig and fish. Not much you can do with that. Shantae has a ton of moves and transformations that you can make for a Smash moveset. So Sakurai would have an easier time making her from scratch.

Not really. I doubt he'd rule out characters that are spirits. And that includes Shantae.

The nostalgia has landed! This is just amazing. Love how they went of their way to recreate the whole opening. Like including Misty and Brock in it and I love how the male trainer is the Ash stand in.

Me too. This should show Sakurai how loved popular Shantae is. Which would help her chances as DLC.

Don't be ridiculous. Fact that Shantae's that high on the list is good for her. And Nintendo's smart enough to not pick Steve.

I said this a few times but I'll say it again: Spirits don't deconfirm them being playable later on. May I bring up Smash 4's cases. Mewtwo and Lucas were just plain ol' trophies before being DLC for the game. And Inkling, K Rool and Ridely would later be playable for Ultimate. The Spirits are...

And yet they are still being silent even after the reveal. That might mean DLC.

That's good. Especially if Shantae doesn't make it into the Wave 1 DLC. There's a chance there will be Wave 2 DLC for Ultimate. Though I'm hoping she's in the Wave 1 DLC.

I heard that from some interview awhile back. He thought adding Corrin would be pushing it but Nintendo told him "Do it anyway". I just think there might be a bit more fair choice of characters this time around.

I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm sure Sakurai would add Shantae since she's quite unique. I heard even he thought adding another Fire Emblem character (I.e. Corrin) was a bit too much during Smash 4's DLC.
