Some folks might blank at the idea of Metal Gear Solid possibly getting a remake in this day and age, but the practice did prove to work well for Capcom with Resident Evil in the past, and Konami is now more open to allowing outside developers to work on their properties (not to mention that Twin Snakes was a thing once, for what it was worth), so the idea has merit should it be pulled off well enough.

Plus, if Snake comes back for a Smash 6, an updated Japanese voice cast is the only way we'll ever get updated/more codec conversations anyways.

Digital PS3 and Vita games are safe for now.

Unfortunately, PSP ones are still toast, so I'll take this opportunity to recommend Wizorb (also on PC and Xbox 360). It's one of Tribute Games' earlier projects and a nice mix of breakout and RPG elements.

Also, if anyone wants to check out what Game Atelier did before Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, their shoot 'em up Flying Hamster should be on there.

Pac-Man 99 sure threw in everything but the kitchen sink for its themes, surprisingly enough. It ranges from the usual suspects like Galaga and Dig Dug, to more underappreciated classics like Legend of Valkyrie and Dragon Spirit, and to the downright esoteric like Cosmo Gang and Toy Pop.

Are we sure that this isn't a belated anniversary game?

warned time and time again that MH might get a spirit event to promote Rise and that the Mii costumes could come back, since focus doesn't seem to be on the Hunter part of the series for this time
no one believed me
not only are the costumes here, but the event eventually came roughly a week after the game it promotes just released

Sometimes I feel like my gut feelings/more reasonable assumptions are the only remotely accurate ones around here.

I know this kind of statement might be overdone by now, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is looking to be the Sonic Mania of old-school TMNT games. Right down to having the possibility of more playable characters.

You can just tell that the developers are pouring love and care into this, so if they're not releasing this until the 35th anniversary next year, I'll understand.
