  • I'll use it occasionally when they're just about to land on the ground from something laggy and they aren't immediately infront of you.
after they're at like 30% sometimes its good to sh a bair into them and follow it up with a uair. its also good to throw in an occasional uair when your juggling them with bairs and such.

The ground moves are pretty situational. jab is pretty useful because its quick and easy to interupt their attack with, and utilt is occasionally useful if you land near them. but when you're on the ground I would pretty much stick to grabbing, shielding, and jumping.
you can use fair's but I would recommend against it because fair is one of your main kill moves and if you use it a lot it won't kill ****.

You can pound someones shield and not get shield grabbed. Try doing a rising pound and barely hit the top of their shield, they shouldn't be able to grab you.
Lets just say I've had some very annoying experiences concerning Olimar and gimping. I know Ivysaur is worse, but that doesn't make Olimar's recover any better.
I always liked the pokemon and tactical/quirky characters. So I liked Olimar and Snake (and used Ice Climbers a little in melee). However, Olimar is too gimpable, and I don't know why I stopped playing Snake. Disliked the tier placement, perhaps?
If I knew your style better, I would have more comments. However - if you like defencive characters there are only a couple of possible reasons.

#1 - You happen to like the characters.
#2 - You like having a defencive advantage for when you play offencive.
#3 - Any other reason you can think of.
All of Brawl's characters play differently. Therefore, if you have any preference for playstyle, you are restricted in who you can main.
Pikachu annoys me too. All of his best attacks include saying "Pika" or "Pikachu." He's still my best character so far, in spite of being highly irritating.
Actaully, yes. Pikachu, Lucario, and Pokemon Trainer.

I tried (and ws actually pretty decent with) Olimar and Snake, but for some reason, I always only end up playing Pokemon series characters seriously. Beyond being somewhat of a pokemon fan, there isn't a perticular reason for it.
Well Peach is a defensive character. But some play her agressive. She can be played that way buit its hard, risky and you can be punished easy that way.
Yuna is just a tier ***** and characters that he has to work hard really hard to win with is crap to him. So with that right there is auto fail.

And I dont understand your second paragraph.
Heh Yea. No way in hell I'm gonna let him go over me like that. What he does and speaks is just stupid.
In person or online? It'd also depend on what part of Cleveland if it were in person. 'Cause, I can't drive, unfortunately.
Well hey there JigglyZelda003! I didnt even know this forum had a friend feature. Anyway thnx for answering all those questions i had, just had this urge to look into Fox some.

So my first friend what characters do you play? I'd guess Peach, Zelda, Jiggs and Fox? lol
Why I like Yoshi? Well, if you're asking like that, it's kind of a funny story. I'm planning on publishing a webcomic, and the main characters are also Smashers. I was trying to find out which characters they'd main, and then Yoshi just kinda hit me. I mean, he's cute, he has dreamy eyes, he makes funny sounds, and he's deadly if used right. In Melee anyway. And... after putting myself into their identities and playing some training rounds with their mains, I started loving Yoshi myself. Funny how that goes.

Your other question is easier to answer:
    No.

Not until somebody walks into the Nintendo headquarter's with a bomb vest.
I really need to learn how to desync properly. The other day I did a forward dodge as the IC. I was Nana and rolled forward, but Popo rolled back. How weird is that? I still sometimes can't get Zelda's recovery right, but I don't really go her too often. I just need to practice with my secondaries, then 'll understand them better. I should really be practicing for going on holiday (on Sunday!), but people are out the back, and keep looking at me funny when I go play the Wii
I honestly like Brawl better, and I like interesting conversation. Also, I know that melee is not coming back no matter how intelligent the pro-melee side is, which is good for me, as I never got past being a good spammer in melee to master the ATs. Brawl is the game I can and will compete in, Brawl is the game where I decided to go with favorite characters over tiers (although I did this half-heartedly in melee), and Brawl is the game where I am at an equal level to everyone else in terms of understanding its metagame.
I can't really play as heavy characters - they are too slow for me :ohwell:[I go the lighter ones (G&W, IC, Zelda, etc.) not really good with any of them, but I try
I'm starting to glide toss with them. It is unnecessary though (see whole "crap players" thing). It's strange, but if you play someone good, do you play better? (ie crap against lvl 1, good agaains lvl 9)
Oh, well. You learn something new everyday, right? :bee:
Sometimes I play mind games with the opponent, like up+B for no reason, just to put them off. Or throwing turnips down (they might roll toward you = free hit)
On a high level, Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4, Soul Calibur III, Melee, Brawl.
yah i have to learn how to use his safety moves more efficeintly.i am pretty good at using his reflector, though.i like how it stuns people
I just study the game a lot. I do this even for games I play casually. It's what I do. I automatically try to learn what's safe, what's unsafe, combos, etc. And I ask lots of questions and read up a lot.
in that sense im pretty dumb becuase i just rush in to the fight.im not very defnsive or evasive,i rarely use shielding or dodgeing
Most of the time when I play Smash, I play against casuals. So I play FFAs with items on quite often. In fact, I've clocked more time playing FFAs with items on than the vast majority of the Competitive Smashers on SWF (and outside of SWF) because of this.
    Approximately 360-ish dollars.

Nair is relatively safe as it can be auto-canceled and Zelda has great mobility in the air so she can space it so they can't easily shieldgrab her. Still, not that safe. Din's Fire is completely safe if you're too far away from them to punish you if they dodge it. It depends on the situation, really.
I had my friends burn the Japanese version and then we played together. I don't even own a Wii.

Zelda doesn't have a Zair (with her, Z airdodges). Which aerial are you referring to?
Wow, seriously? Fair is amazing. If I didn't save it for killing :ohwell:. I don't juggle that much, but I guess my ground game is my strong point. But seriously if you need anything, just ask :bee:.
