  • Nothing much. Finishing up Fall semester at CCBC, helping clean up my kitchen after some renovation, chilling, etc. I'm also mad sick. haha I don't know what's wrong with me.
Hey, dude! I don't know about you, but I've been away from the Brawl scene for a couple months now. What are you up to?
Ouch, that's rough. I can see why you left that job and took up this one instead.

Even Mods are subject to approval, huh? Nice to know there's little chance of power abuse around here then. I've encountered that a few times online and it's never pretty.
Huh, so it's actually impossible to ban someone if they haven't accumulated enough infraction points? I read the global rules but figured mods had the power to bend them if they needed to.

That's an interesting story. It's pretty funny how most mods don't really aspire to get their position but wind up with the job anyway. I'm a little curious to know what forum was possibly more stressful than this one but I'm worried I might be opening up Pandora's Box just by asking.
I've been lurking in the Workshop since spring and I'll admit that there has been a lot of improvement in that area. But whenever I scroll through the list of threads I just can't help but sympathize with all the work you've still gotta go through despite that. This subforum is ridiculously popular and it goes very fast at times. I can't even imagine how insane it will get when model importing gets released.

I'm actually relieved to hear that you refrain from using bans too much; that seems more like the Nuclear Option of moderation than anything else and it definitely should be used sparingly. But this is what I meant by being amazed with your patience: I would've cracked by now and started handing out bans left and right.
If only there was some way to add gigantic arrow GIFs to the page and make them flash neon colors while pointing at the announcement or the Welcome Wagon. Or maybe add a sound clip of a guy yelling "READ THE WELCOME WAGON, MORON" that loops endlessly when you open the subforum page in your browser. (EDIT: You should totally do this for April Fools next year.)

...But I know there'd still be some people who just don't care about the rules and will post new topics regardless. *sigh* Thank god for infractions and the banhammer.
It's good to know there are such charitable people in the world. You guys are putting a lot of effort into making our lives easier for little to no reward, which is admirable.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks a lot of those superfluous new topics would be prevented if the Welcome Wagon was the first sticky in the list, with the "READ THIS FIRST" part in 40-point bold font and colored a shade of bright, eye-searing red that is visible from outer Earth orbit? Right now the thread is at the bottom of the sticky list and no self-respecting newbie bothers to read that far down the page before clicking the shiny, seductive "New Topic" button. I think the key here is to get their attention by being as obnoxious as possible.

...Man, I'm so jaded. It's probably a very good thing that I'm not a moderator.
I am amazed by your patience with this sub-forum.

I don't think anybody ever thanks you enough for the work you put into keeping the Workshop clean, so I'll say it now: Thanks, Bionic Sonic.
Thanks :D Time for me to ban everyone ever!!! lmao.

Diddy Boards definitely needed some cleaning up though :|
I decided to close it since it's virtually just like 'Melee Vs. Brawl' which isn't allowed under our rules.
actually, i DO have one now.
but I'm working on other things.
Thus, I'm hardly ever in the xat.
It's not that life sux, it's just that it's not as good as it could, or should, be.
