  • Oh 3 lol okay then. I don't think the TO would mind since were both agreeing on it, making it fair.

And what do you my Rainbow OR Lylat? Aren't you supposed to pick 3?
That's fine i guess. Would you mind going back to a CP in which i've already won? I really don't want to go through 6 different stages. If not, then i guess i'll pick 6 different ones.

My cp's would only be neutrals, by the way.
About the CP's, there aren't many stages and Dave's stupid rule is on. What do you wanna do?
Sorry for late response, internet was messing up last night.

Unless your teachers are SUPER observant to this kind of stuff, you're likely doing it wrong. You try to hide it from the teacher by placing it so another person's body is blocking view of it. Or you try to pass it off as taking notes (have a piece of paper for notes nearby and read so you can hide the homework). If I needed a textbook to do some part of it, I put it in my lap and under the desk. It takes a bit of practice and a bit of knowledge of the teacher's awareness and patterns.
I don't generally miss text like that from the DSi because of how zoomed in one of the screens is, about the same as pressing the + button in the Internet Channel 6 times.

You didn't join ChessHere yet did you?
5:30 EST would roughly be about 2:30 for this region. I clock out at 3, but usually wait until 4 to pick up my sister. I suppose I can try to make an exception tomorrow, and get home right away. 3 for me would be around 6 EST.
Anytime after about 4 PST tomorrow would be preferable. Not too confident in my schedule for the next week, but if you can give me a time, I'll see what I can do.
Again, you do it in later periods. It just takes time management to do homework in class.
You're right, I did procrastinate. During my senior year I did barely any homework at home, I started it in class, then tried my best to finish the next day in early periods.
It's not invisible if you use black. In fact, the only color that's invisible is the exact shade of the background for the text on the Classic Blue skin.
Bah...okay then. 5 p.m. sounds good, unless something comes up(which i doubt). But i'll see you then [:

It's funny how we can't even get a scheduled match done d:
I see more canine features than feline, but w/e.

Who does their homework on Sunday? You either do it in classes the day it's assigned (not necessarily the one in which it's assigned) or wait until the period, or break, right before it's due.
If you agree about the fox / wolf-like appearance, then you notice the canine features.

    Mighta helped.

I was referring to the opening as opposed to mid- or late-game.

I said that because you said you'd join today and, after searching for "dualseeker," I noticed you hadn't yet. For the weekdays I blame school; weekends are your fault.
The muzzel makes me think canine - it sticks out more and is a bit more angular than a cat's. It has more of a wolf or fox-like appearance.

Eh, hard to detect sarcasm online.

Just play how you like and adapt to threats. If you find you have to adapt to too much, then consider a completely new tactic.
I still don't care about time.

    Join. ChessHere. Nao!
You didn't give spoilers. Those two chars have been around since the beginning. And I've always seen the one as more canine than feline.

Fairly surprising, though I don't really follow the competitive scene.

I've heard that too, but never really tried incorporating any true focus on it into my playstyle.
All the sequences for times guaranteed under a minute are too much work to learn for me. Solving the cube is more about fun and challenge to me over speed.
Again it dependson point of view and I don't tend to really care about center control so I see it as defensive.
    I'm not worried about time.

    I'll let you know.

    Au revoir.
I'll see in less than an hour if it was a spoiler.

I've found my opening to be more defensive than offensive. It can possibbly lead into some fairly potent offensive lines, but I use it to get everything out and to ensure a Castle in whichever direction I deem necessary. Maybe you can try experimenting with it against me. I'd love to test myself against it and see if I can find any weaknesses.
They kinda helped, but were mostly similar to the sequences I already knew and used. The book was more for beginners than those seeking times under a minute.
They added motorcycles?! -_- The series used to be good, or at least decent since that opinion is prolly biased based on my view of things all those years ago.
I doubt you spoiled anything. Unless they've left the previous story arc unfinished and skipped to the next one.

You never know, it could catch them off-guard and thus they might make mistakes. Be careful as it may be too slow; it takes 6 turns to position the Pawns and Bishops without interference, then however many moves it takes to position your Knights. Basically I open up the possibility of a Castle on either side while keeping all pieces close and hopefully protected.
I've got two. In between learning to solve it and finding the pattern book, I found one on solving and figured I'd see about alternate ways to solve it.
I haven't cared about Yugioh in about 7 or so years (basically my freshman year, that's when I switched to Magic), so it's likely been longer for me.
But the episode is still over an hour and half away for me.

Try my opening sometime, the one from our game 1; maybe you'll find it helpful on the elders.
I figured out most of it myself, just needed to look up how to solve the final side. The sequences I learned to solve it end up being the "few select sequences" I challenge myself to use only while solving at times. After I learned to solve it, I found and bought a book on patterns.
I don't understand that comparison due to not watching, or even really caring about, Yu-Gi-Oh for years.
Did the big cat seem to have white, bone-like armor? If not, that's a new char to me.

    To each his own.
By patterns, I wasn't referring to solving the cube, but I can do that too in about 1-2mins (I can also solve the 4x4 in about 3-5mins, haven't really timed it). I like making patterns with the colors, or else challenging myself to solve it in certain ways (positioned a certain way, using a few select sequences only, etc.). I thought about speed solving once, but gave up on it especially after the difficulty in properly lining up some turns on the 4x4.
    What did you think?

I'm not saying it's bad, just that you don't seem to do anything else.
I've got a chess book or two as well, but never put any effort into learning any specific sequences. I save that sort of memorization for Rubik's cube patterns.
    You should be watching!

I've figured out your opening: King's Pawn out 2 spaces, Queen's out 1, move both Knights to in front of Bishop's Pawns, move both Bishops to in front of Queen and / or King, then Kingside Castle. You may add a couple extra moves in or change the order of a few, but you always do this.
How would you get better? Ask for advice from a friend who's a stronger player?
If we're still talking after 1:30-2am your time, please no spoilers on Bleach, I'll see it when it's 1am here in California. Feel free to spoil Inuyasha if you want.

I'm expecting you to stop my tactic as Black.
Tonight's episode of Bleach should be starting in about 20 or so mins for you, followed by an episode of Inuyasha like I said earlier.

If I manage the one as White, yes I'll enjoy it . The one as Black is just a casual tactic. I'm not really expecting them to work well, if at all.
It'll prolly be better for you to watch it on JustDubs since you'll be able to start from the beginning and likely be able to watch every episode.

It's more about anxiety. Trust me, I won't forget them because I've had these ideas since just before we finished our last game.
    Sorry for not replying back.

It should be under the Japanese name.

You can watch it whenever you like it's just that Im already back on season 2.XD
Not necessarily since people interpret music, well mostly everything, in different ways. What's dull to one could be a huge inspiration to another.

I meant to say they were not all different (I know I saw a bunch repeats), and yes I missed an arc or two of their journey and a couple episodes here and there. I know I missed a sizeable chunk of the beginning and end, but beyond that, I'm unsure.

Aw, but I've got a plan for how I'll begin the next game against you when I'm White, and there's something I want to try as Black as well.
Music might inspire a character or event for me once in a while, but most is TV and books.

I've seen a bunch of episodes, but I don't think they were all different or even consecutive. It was pretty good based on what I remember.

Joined ChessHere yet? I wanna play and it could help you pass the time to Bleach, unless you're set in watching whatever other anime right now.
I guess it's the good stories I have read or seen, mostly TV, and the most prominent genre seems to be fantasy. My fav story and source of inspiration, maybe even more than HP, is the one I recommended: The Death Gate Cycle.

I'm trying to get into a normal pattern of sleep and daily activities, so it's annoying for it to come to mind then when I know I should be going to sleep. Nothing really new seems to appear at those times luckily.

According to the TV guide, there's only one episode of Bleach, followed by an episode of Inuyasha. Everything else seems to be the same schedule as before.
How can you not find a copy? I go to Target once a week and always see at least 2 copies.

I'm always trying to think on it, but it tends to pop into my head at some of the worst times, like when I'm getting ready to go to sleep.

    Don't forget about Bleach tonight/tomorrow at 1am.
Lets get our matches done, sorry i couldn't the do them last time. Let's reschedule.
You haven't read Deathly Hallows YET?!?!?

LotR = Lord of the Rings

It's an idea for an original story, or at least one I have yet to read. I've got a few Word docs made, one for each main char I'm planning, one for the setting and whatnot, and one for the very basic version of the plot (which I'm finding needs quite a bit of work). Won't really mention more because I'm still unsure what my plans for it are.

    Later.
I(/we) said that because with some series, you can read them out of order a bit and still not miss much, like the first 3-4 HP books.

You asking what LotR is or are you expressing surprise I haven't read it? Ever since starting to help you, I've been reminded of an idea I had for a short story assignment for English in my senior year. It was a free prompt and the idea immediately popped into my head, but I never really got it fleshed-out enough in my head to write it, so I didn't actually do it. Recently it started coming together more and I've seriously considered finally writing it, but want to work on some details more. Plus I'm not sure if I want to try and make it into a book-length story or not.
The way you're feeling about that book is prolly similar to how I'm feeling about the Flamel series, but I cannot find the first book to be able to start reading :(
Sent the PM. Forgot to mention: twiz suggests reading the Flamel series in order, and I do the same with the Death Gate cycle (different settings for the first 4 books, but some characters carry over)

I kinda feel the same, but I also feel there are certain classics I should read (Narnia, LotR, etc.). I've made a reading list for myself so I don't forget to read certain things.
I'm going to send back your PM with the specifics (book titles) on those two series as well as one of my own.

General advice to improve writing: keep reading a lot and writing often. Follow those and you should be able to write a story you think is as good as SSoD.
That may be true about fanfiction.net, but I'll likely not check it out until Monday.

Again, check it out for yourself and tell me what you think. I'm hoping to read the Earthsea cycle and The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, both of which twiz suggested a while back and, based on the bookcover summaries/descriptions I've read, seem really good.

I think that most fiction online is unoriginal, though if you happen to look in the right places, you might find something new and good.
