well i really hope i can actaully go to tourneys and stuff
cuz i really dont want to put all this time for nothin, i mean there are online tourneys for brawl altho very few.
okay, i need to practice wave dashing Wave shilding and wave landing

i still like brawl cuz melee is a little close minded, kinda more character oriented with your skill witht the characters and combos, while in brawl without the knockback its lotsa mind games

I was playing smash today earlier so I guess we'll have to do it later this evening... I'll definitely be available tonight.
I think ever since my very first Melee tournament I've placed higher than I deserved for my skill. At my first one, I was 2-2 in brackets and 2-0 in money matches, and since then I've gone at least even or better at every tournament. Placing 3rd at both of mine, placing 1st at UNCW, and placing 5th at this Bill's were all too high, even if due to really close sets I could have very likely placed even higher. For example, Pac is faaaar better than me and I don't think I did well at all when I played him in friendlies and yet we tied for placings.
We'll discuss those kinds of things a bit more tonight if we ever need to, though. Right now I'm reviewing placings at all of the tournies since the last PR to be somewhat comprehensive.

Yeah. I can see your point with sitngers/zero. It's really a hard call, and I think either of them being higher is justified.
You can put sitngers above zero.
Also, he lost to Zero in winners and was 2-1 in losers semis with him. I beat zero convincingly in winners. He should also be penalized for losing to zero, just as I should be for going 1-1 with killer last tourney.
I don't remember what he said after like 5th. I definitely think I should be above Anthony, though. It comes down to whether or not we give him the benefit of the doubt or not. Since it's his fault for not making tournies, I don't think we can give him that benefit. Last Billfest when he beat me was a good while ago, as well.
That's why I really wish there were vids (either from my tournament or Bill's) so that I could actually analyze my matches.
It would be a lot easier to improve the matchup if I could watch my opponent at all during the match but that's incredibly difficult for me. 10asdjohns
I'll keep working on Melee forever, I just feel right now like I'm at the same point all of the good NC smashers were at a year ago... it's daunting.

I've tried to learn from it but I've played him plenty now and I can't seem to make any progress. It's disappointing.
It was ridiculously close, just like at my tournament. He deserved the win, though. I played quite stupidly when it could have been a simple win.
I'm getting sick of playing his Fox every tourney and always having really tight sets. =[
I want to pick up a character to counter his Fox, my Falco can win but it's weird.

I used mpeg-4 before and it worked well, but when I did it with my Brawl+ stuff the quality got ruined.
I hope there are plenty of vids from Bill's, he said there would be three recording setups but I didn't see any. Maybe he had none of them on Melee televisions... =[

Hey, Bill knows it wasn't a Melee player who stole the money, it has nothing to do with what game's better, just what's more popular. =P
I never thought I was godly but it's simply the procedure where the better I get, the more I see the skill gap... and it looks pretty dang huge right now. I try not to beat myself up, I think I would have placed better at Bill's if I had warmed up and friendlied for hours like I did at UNCW, but rust johns are lame.
I'll try to do Melee vids, but I just want to figure out how to fix Youtube's stupid murdering of my quality before I do them.

Hey, it's true. There are no random Melee-ers, everyone there for the first half of the fest was an awesome bro. Then Brawl happens and there's tons of random folks and at least a handful of shady people.
The tourney was fun but I still know that I suck. I didn't get to play many friendlies at all, due to lack of setups and Lucas hogging L0zr's friendly time. Apart from the lame tourney matches I beat Zero and Behr in $1 money matches.
I'm looking forward to PR discussion, we should do it soon.
Bah, bro. I can't do may because I can't request off. If anything, it'll be a long time from now. I just hope it's worth it if I find the right spot. Also, I'll have to do Brawl/Melee. It's a standard now.
You think if I were to hold something here in The Rocky Mount, people would be likely to come? Last time I tried it fell through the roof and Munkey was less than supportive. What do you think?
'Kay. Well, I don't think Pac cares. I think he came to prove something to himself and the smash community? That the second half of the PRs was a joke. I unno, ask him. BUT if PRs did place above him, it should make him rethink their skill I guess.
There's one guy I think should be removed and I think you'd agree. As for this Jim guy . . . Whu? First I'm hearing of him. <_<
How do you think this effects the Melee PRs now? Who do you think stays/goes, rises/falls? Give me an opinion, not a "It's up to the panel. lulz" reply.
I'm currently going through the tapes. Finding good material and saving it. It'll be a while since the semester is coming to a close, but it's coming along. -
