  • yea i dont like to brag about it though. a couple of ppl think im top 10 IC easy ppl like esam have said this but im just trying to get better tourney by tourney and pick up techniques that i can utilize. I have a CG technique on lucas and im thinking about doing a mini tutorial for ppl to learn. ive had players tell me they've never seen it before and it makes CG him way easier so be on the look out for that because i want your opinion on it
Oh nevermind then. Anyway, whenever you get a chance, check the lab. rPSI just talked to JV about some stuff.
you can go ahead and add "featuring Mew2King" or something to the thread title, he's essentially confirmed as soon as Collin books his flight.
Yeah I used ICs for a few MUs. But after having some issues with them in my later bracket matches I went DDD. But I still did pretty well overall. Just need more practice with them <_< All that new stuff I was trying to learn overloaded me. LOL
What could you possibly be viewing at this point in the evening when everything is dead. x.x

Whaaat. You log of as soon as I post this.....
LOL. Let me confirm everything first but I should be able to work something out for you :D I'll hit you up on Skype tonight.
I'm in a hurry atm, but I can definitely show you a link to it:
    http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=295340

It's #1 and 2 on the list. You will find the thread of it through the vid description of the first vid. If this doesn't explain it well enough, then I will definitely clear things up for you later.

Thanks a ton for the link btw. <beep3
I may be able to help with that

Also, I walked past you at Pound 5 and yelled your name but you didn't turn around lol
Put a picture on your OP for your tourney.

    Looks good other than that
    hah, thanks for the encouragement.

youd be a lot less stressed if you just pivot grabbed more. thats all ya gotta do lol. but it was madd fun playing you, I try to have a somewhat agressive style vs the ICs but its pretty clear that thats not working for me.
Picto is basically FD. Few transformations actually **** up CG's, and I'm sure if someone wanted to, they could learn where they could cg that person to where the least amount of transformations will affect you.
well, you was in my pool. and i saw you post in the ICs section. (i know this because i name search myself quite often lol)
Either way it's interesting, and does what i wanted, starting to make this desync more usable xD

seriously, stuff like that, whoever finds it doesn't matter to me, really opens up the IC's approach game (which has always needed help lol)
you see why i love messing with desync storing now??? xD lol also throw out a pivot grab while in that stored state and nana will do a delayed "boosted" (it's not canceling anything just goes farther than a normal dash grab) in front of you, but i gotta see if there is any way to follow up with a chaingrab cause usually nana is too far away and does a random throw.

Nice video though, definitely gave me some ideas and also more things to mess around with. =P (like that super separated nana ice block... o.O
I understand full well where you're coming from on that. Take MikeHaze vs Ook at MLG. As a DDD player I was disgusted lol People pick up D3 all the time just to abuse their CG so I know what you mean and you have my word I won't share it with non IC mains. :)
My intentions with ICs are different in a sense. I have always been interested in using them in tournament but I was intimidated by how technical they are/afraid to stop using Snake after maining him for so long. Now, I decided to just do what I want and have fun. ICs are extremely fun to me. And MI is the land of ICs and MKs. The problem is there are a lot of bad ICs rhat do exactly what you shouldn't do with them. It motivates me to learn them the correct way more. When I play two characters in tournament I Co-main them. I want to be able to say I main DDD as well as ICs. :D I don't view them as my "ace in the hole" who has infinites I can abuse.

that's honestly how I look at it. I've been wanting to play the Inuit kids since my first tourney 1/31/09. Lol

and question: Why is it so many people use Hylian over LDI if LDI seems more practical and easier to perform?
Wow. That is a lot of info. Thank you! I'm going to try to learn LD1. How difficult would you say it is to learn? It seems REALLY practical though!
Lay it on me sir. All the details. If there a tangible benefit to knowing the difference and how to perform this techniques I need to learn. I want to know all of my options after all. And thank you btw :D
stay away from yi and lylat if it is on the list.
Ban rc most of the time

Lucas needs to have the air free so that he can optimize his dair. When his air game is cut off he is at a disadvantage so remember that when yer playing. That's why yoshis is so bad
Hey man, btw you're welcome to join us for Shark Bar tomorrow if you want, I've got room in my car. I'm leaving Lawrence at 6:15pm or so
lol that is what I'm saying. I think one does. But I don't see the point. It looks cool but if a player knows the matchup it wont do anything realy IMO. Cuz lucas attacks have such low priority
no problem man. I suggest you look online at what lucas you like. Cuz I play him alot differently than the norm
Maybe, I hardly ever use skype though and prefer to discuss stuff in person. =P
Can't thank you enough for all the research you did, being able to desync out of any ground move regardless of whether it hits or not is quite interesting. Also that one dash input is great! :D Glad I finally got to mess around with your info =P
O shi- That's actually really cool, just gotta figure out how to get them into spot dodge/roll heavy tendencies =P Which would be different for each opponent, many smart opponents reactions are to jump or simply throwing out attacks to space, which easily can be shielded or u-smashed, which is why i like the idea of getting both dash and walk options at the same time. and that's what makes the game fun to me still! :D
No lie, polar opposite mix-ups is a play style in and of itself. Boss told me he loves to just completely change his play style mid-match and see how confused his opponents look xD (that and his crazy reads based on how you DI is jab combos o.O)

I'm curious in it's uses for giving me more options to punish opponents reactions to just walking closer and closer to them. (also I prefer to approach, although patient about it) Going to check out the thread now =P
Just finished DLing the file to my desktop and opening it in Excel and everything came out alright so it's definitely 2003 compatible.

Is there something wrong with whoever's computer is trying to open the file that's preventing them from viewing the worksheet? (Or have y'all already figured it out while I was gone?)
