that's pretty untrue - bar wars last weekend in manassas (~1 hr away from MD), smash @ clarendon the day before (arlington/dc), squabbles smash in glen burnie next week, shell shocked 14 in college park two weeks from now, etc. there's basically a tournament in the area every weekend, plus...

derp after about a month of not doing anything I've started playing online and am now looking for more people to play, especially this weekend when I can just grind games someone add me to the skype group (vdraconis)?

I've played zero games against a human opponent, so I don't really have a main yet. I think I want to play Yuyuko or Tenshi because their moves feel good.

well, I'm familiar with the cycle of learning - but I was more curious as to if there were any sorts of guides or videos or other educational materials that a simple google search won't turn up I'll start skyping people for games once my new controller arrives in the mail...

so uh where do I go to learn this game? it's been a while since I've played ANY fighting game and smashboards used to be my go-to forum for this kind of stuff
