    Got Sephiroth, I could've just waited for him since the last day of his challenge would end right on my birthday. I was to excited to finally get him, so I played it anyway. Sephiroth so far may actually be my favorite DLC character pack. Like, Square and Nintendo really went out their way for this one. So, now the favorites are Joker, Sephiroth, Banjo, Hero, and Terry.

    It's been a while, BUT if you want my thoughts on the first pass, I've bought it. Favorite DLC characters: Joker, Banjo and Hero
    I'm still waiting on the second pass but after seeing freaking Sephiroth of all characters, I think I've made my decision to get this one as well.

    Looks like the two of the biggest threads on Smashboards being the General DLC discussion thread and the Geno thread seems to be in "Calm Before the Storm" mode for the TGA's tomorrow. Kinda surprised that nothing big happened today.

    Not going to lie both the State of Play and the Indie World direct were both pretty underwhelming. If both RE3 Remake and KHIII: Remind didn't get leaked before hand those announcements would've had some impact.

    Welp, Sora has been deconfirmed and we might not getting Smash news at the TGAs after all! I don’t think I’m going to stick around for much longer and may just come back in January, because this is ridiculous!

    Can someone please tell me who has made those signatures of the key art for Ultimate of characters that's not in the game yet?! I would love to DM them so I can update my signature and put in my most wanted characters for Ultimate!

    I'm so ecstatic over the fact that it's been almost 4 days since we've heard of ANY deconfirmations for anybody! It would actually be even more of a surprise if we really went into character #5 COMPLETELY BLIND without any leaks at all! That would be shocking!

    iirc, Joker's the only DLC character (not counting Plant since they're more like a base game addition that got added post-development) that hasn't been "leaked" or expected to show up as the next DLC character by a majority of the fans, and thats because we didn't even know yet if DLC was going to be a thing. More excitement from just not knowing who could be next days before the announcement would really be appreciated.

    Just in case, I'll go on complete Smashboards/Twitter blackout on the 11th until the VGAs start airing. I don't trust Verge not to spoil everyone's fun if he gets a good source by then.

    Also, be weary of any spirit events this week.

    So Lloyd got the boot, but is at least possible for post-pass which honestly, made sense for Lloyd anyway. At this point, with all of these deconfirmations on so many characters, I may just not be around for the next week or so and just come back till the Game Awards actually comes. So you won't hear from me till the second week of December, I'll keep checking in and like some stuff here and there. Just won't be posting anything.

    I just want to point out that Ultimate has had tons of theories from both base game and DLC days of speculation, and I'm kind of surprised that Color theory is so far, the only one that's still kinda standing.

    I think the fact that were getting an Indies showcase, means that were going to get get a general direct sometime soon. Those usually follow well after as of recently. It might not be this month but I can see it being early February now!

    Not Smash related at all but I went to the movies earlier today, and saw Into the SpiderVerse, and it was so good! Sony gets its first W by themselves without the help of Marvel Studios! Take a break from Smash speculation and go and see this movie, especially if your a SpiderMan fan!

    Box Theory
    Blog Theory
    Music Theory
    Card Theory

    Now there's something called "Avatar/Icon Theory" to prove Rex or something. Some of you just need to need to get a grip!

    At this point, when it comes to later DLC, I'm not believing anyone's ****. I do think we are getting another Square character as Verge said, and maybe a Microsoft and a Bandai character other than that, my guesses are who knows what the other two characters left could be. Even Vergeben is falling through the cracks, and I don't think he knows anything else, beyond the Square character. Not to mention, he's been too quiet. Unless he says the character upfront, I'm not putting much stock on anything else he says for the later DLC. That's basically where I'm at with DLC, currently.

    Yeah, I don't see us getting a second direct in November, besides the month is almost over. Unless, it's a surprise mini direct with smaller titles to look out for during the holidays, that'd be fine. I don't see us getting a full big one till December.

    Wow, people are really ****ting on Square. You people are just now realizing how stingy Square are with their properties?!

    Maybe it’s because I’ve played their games and know that they’ve always moved like that, but cut them some slack. They’ve always been this way, this REALLY shouldn’t be a surprise to you people. Start paying attention more to other companies, not just Nintendo!

I'm not saying you shouldn't complain about it, I'm just saying that people shouldn't be this surprised about how Square is with their properties. I always thought that was the reason as to why they never made into Smash before for the longest time up until Smash 4.

    Q-Long Q-Long, no your okay, and yeah you're right, I'm just surprised by the reaction that people have been giving Square. Maybe it's because I'm used to the pain that whatever Square does, just don't bother me that much anymore, at least compared to the rest of the fanbase.

    Someone actually bought up the possibility of Geno being revealed at the VGA's. In what century, would Square or even Nintendo for that matter WOULD bring an obscure character reveal like that for the masses, that only Smash/Nintendo fans only know of? You dear hopefulls, bless your souls.
