OK, so you didn't install Boot-mii.

Hackmii Installer v0.8
BootMii Configuration Editor
OK, you'll need to folder the Bootmii.elf and miniboot.elf in a folder in your apps directory and move the Wiiload folder in the root of your SD Card. Move the Bootmii Configurable Editor to your apps as well. Now go to the HBC and load Hackmii Installer. Go through the waiting process and pick Bootmii. It should say "Can be installed". Once you pick Bootmii, it'll ask you if you want it as Boot2 or as an IOS, first pick "Prepare SD Card" and select IOS and pick "Yes" if it asks you if you would like to continue. Once you're done, exit out of the installer and load Bootmii Configuration Editor. Switch your options to:
Video: NTSC
Autoboot: Off
Boot Delay: 0
Bootmii Active: Enabled
Once you're finished with this, let me know if you have the menu from below when you turn off and turn on your Wii.

Well, there is a risk since this deals with the Wii's IOSs which is the structure of the Wii's programming. The risk is minor if you do keep to the instructions since you don't want to change anything that doesn't need to be. I suggest making a NAND back-up with Boot-Mii, for insurance.

OK, here's how to use the Wii Shop Channel while avoiding an update but I will note though that there may be a potential for a brick so be fore warned and go at your own risk.
Tools:
Multi Mod Manager v13.4
Wii Manager v1.7
Download - Multi-Mod-Manager_v13.4.rar -- Extract and copy the "MMM" folder to the "apps" folder on your SD card.
Download & Extract to the SD Root. Or place the WAD-Manager_v1.7 folder inside your apps folder.
1. Load MMM from HBC and select "Manage Wii Channels"
2. Shop Channel will be selected - Use the D-pad to select your Region - Press A to Install
3. Wait - "Shop channel successfully installed" - Press any button to continue"
4. In the main menu select "IOS Manager" - Navigate to IOS56 and press A to install
5. "Select the patches to apply" - Press B to say NO to ALL four patches
6. "Load IOS56-64-v5662 from" - Select "Nintendo Servers" - Press A to install - Wait
7. "Installing IOS.....OK!" Press an button to continue - Press B to exit IOS Manager - Press HOME to exit MMM.

It was a pretty uneventful con xD I bought some pretty prints and plushie things. I went to a couple really good panels. The brawl tourney was really lame though. Me and two other friends signed up, I got one of my friends first round but she left so I got a bye, my other friend also had a first round bye and our 2nd round was against each other ._. It was single elim too. FD only. The FFA's were fun though :D
Sorry for my late respond here, I'm doing pretty fair. Just you know playing my game. Saving up to get more imvu credits ,gaia cash That sort of thing. xD For fun so I won't like stress out. It's like a female going to a shopping mall who needs to save up. That sort of thing. Even though I want to save up for other money personal situations irl. ^^; But it's not like I always have a handy man right side person to always give without feeling offended all the time. xD Sometimes I just got to strive. xD
On Tuesday I was left for swim practice at 8 and yesterday I had an orchestra concert from 6-9. I was home after nine though. :O
I'm doing pretty well. Bugging with Grey. XD He's funny, and I got Project M to work so now if only I can get balanced brawl I'll be alright. XD

The link I gave up above is for Smash Stack. It's an exploit that can load Hackmii Installer on any system version, even 4.3! There's a video in the link that should guide him if he can't use the instructions on the page.
