Seriously, my Marth is my only tourney level character, which is fine by me. There aren't many Marth players in the Midwest, so I want to show Chicago that Marth isn't just another Character to breeze by in tourney.

I try not to focus much on infinites grabbing, instead I try to do more with desynchs. Learning to infinite and all that fancy grabbing stuff isn't as important. Most people on the IC boards agree that desynching is where the metagame is. If anything, try and get down down throw > nana spike > popo iceblock. That racks up a good amount of damage and is a CG too.

That stinks for me. I have a lot of trouble beating crazn's marth...

Pretty much only Marth in NC lol. Also top Brawler (TBD, but I'm pretty sure that's what'll happen), which is being voted on right now actually.

I realize this, but meh.

I usually do videos, so this may not be too organized lol:

On stage:
Lots of spot dodging and rolling. Much more effective on Wifi obviously, but, with Marth's horrible roll and spotdodge, this will only hurt you in your offline tournament. Your Fairs were spaced nicely though, but sometimes you went too far away to even tipper my shield. I'll assume that's wifi. Oh yeah, not much is gonna happen if you sit there. You have to be moving. Sometimes it is better to sit there until I SH to Ftilt or Shield to up-B, but that gets predictable. Since we had equal range you would be playing defensively most of the time, which is fine, but just make sure that you took advantage of me as best as you could (again, much easier offline).

Offstage:

Edgeguarding:
If you haven't noticed, I pretty much do the same thing every time I'm off of the stage. Make sure that you get to reading me a little sooner aight?
Go for more hugs or something lol.

Recovering:
Great use of counter first of all. Maybe a little overdone, but I almost always fell for it, so that's unimportant lol. Other than that, it's all about predicting me.


A side note: I didn't see many killing tricks or a varied game. You need to switch up everything you do so that I'm unsure of what your next move is. When we played towards the end, I couldn't always punish you, but I could almost always predict every single movement you had. Just try to move around and do different things (which are limited in Marth dittos and Wifi, but still....).

Overall....you're aight, just work on your predictability and prediction (basically be aware of what both you and your opponent are thinking), and you should do well.

I got first bro. The DDD match was actually Grand Finals for me. I ***** Echo's Olimar in the first set I played vs him earlier on, so he decided to go DDD, which I thought would be easy cuz I usually **** it. Wroooong.

I've been thinking and researching the DDD matchup so that, come the 8th (next Chapel hil tourney), that mess won't happen again.

I'll probably put up some matches vs Twitch's MK since those are close and people need to learn that the matchup isn't impossible, just a pain in the neck.

I hear that. Soo many people compain about him too that it really isn't worth it. There is one guy who complains about my Marth more than MK cuz we don't have a MK main in this state better than my Marth. Kinda funny actually.

I don't really second. I pretty much only like Marth's style in Brawl, but MK is the closest I get to another good style, so I second him. ONLY for matchups that I know for sure my Marth can't win/I'm extremely inexperienced at and money is on the line (Ali's Snake for example). I don't play MK much though cuz I like Marth more.

Oh yeah, I also play Mario because he's still pretty good and I loved him in Melee.
