Re-reading the game, I think NL was trying to avoid the rockin wagon, and that may have been why they were supporting J and him giving NL chastity armor. Why? If zen said that, it would show that either mac didn't stop the nk, or at least it would make the definite answer vague because it would be between rockin being jailed and stopped, and nl being targetted. Also consider that Soup has been pushing towards watt/gorf/rake and wasn't looking at rockin, while trusting j/mac. These quotes are relevant:

They are trying to argue this to imply that Mac didn't stop the night kill, and that someone else was jailed.
