Legend of Zelda Zelda Wii U - 2014?

[Note: I was going to post this in the General Discussion thread, but there doesn't seem to be one, so if it has to be locked or whatever, that's fine. Also, tl;dr. . . The article link is at the bottom of the post]

More to the point, this article has given us an excessive amount of information on Zelda Wii U (from what we've had, anyway). They've received their source from one of their insiders, who apparently has been credible in the past (or I wouldn't have bothered to make a thread for this in the first place).

"According to our source in Japan, Nintendo is betting big on the next Zelda game, set for release in 2014 on the Wii U. This comes from the same source that accurately predicted Wii U achievements in the past, and broke the news Nintendo was working on a Wii U social network, which turned out to be Miiverse. So we’re quite confident in this information. The source is from within Nintendo and has seen the new Zelda game in action. He’s impressed, to say the least."

This is dumb. These are the vaguest most bland rumors in the world. You use the gamepad to navigate, solve puzzles, and avoid traps you say? This Zelda game is going to be big, you say?

I also highly doubt "hundreds" of people are working on this. That is quadruple the size of any Zelda team for any game.

Not sure where the credibility for this source is. Unless I'm missing it, I'm not particularly impressed by "insider information" when it amounts to something as obvious and easily predictable as "Nintendo's new console will have achievements and a social network" Will the Wii-U also have a single player Mario game? Am I a game insider now?

to be fair, nintendo's track record with online features is pretty abysmal, achievements and social networking, even being 7 years behind the game, is actually unexpected by the standards that they've set for themselves

The only reliability is if this is the french site which leaked early details about the WiiU as a system.

Anyway, speculation is enjoyable at times especially when it could get you hyped up. There seems to be a few examples of how a fanbase has driven direct changes. Marth/Roy which brought the fire emblem series to the USA (supposedly). And even the bringing of Xenoblade, the Last Story, and Pandora's Tower stateside as well.

So Link in SSB4 will be either SS Link or this new Link. Maybe well have a cool new villain or partner to include in SSB4 to freshen up the Zelda roster! I dont really by into the rumors but having gigantic dungeons like that sounds awesome!

I imagine it will be Skyward Sword Link to appear in SSB4. Even if this happens to be a true rumor, I doubt SSB will take so long as to come out after this new Zelda in 2014.

So, I imagine it's also reasonable to expect some other SS characters, most likely Ghirahim (and maybe a Demise alt costume for Gannondorf if he's still in the game?) or Impa.

I hope they make Zelda more like her SS version, though that might clash with the Sheik thing.

I think Link should, by default, appear as his most current incarnation, so long as it fits into the "Adult Link" category. With that said, what if by default, SSB4 Link looks like his Wii U incarnation? Maybe we could get SS, TP, OoT and ALttP alt. outfits. If he ends up looking like his SS incarnation by default, then he should still get TP, OoT, and ALttP alts, perhaps with their own colored tunics as well. It'd be sweet if we get a newly imagined Young/Toon Link with alternative appearances that reflect MM, WW, and LoZ Link.

^Yes, but SS Link looks more cel-shaded with light colors, somewhat similar to Wind Waker's Link.
