I've done real-time speedruns of temples before, but never an entire game. I'd like to try the 3 day challenge for MM before school starts.

So I guess I'm not an active member of the community, but I'm up to date with most TAS on tasvideos.org.

completeing all 3 days of MM in one day i think.might be wrong tho.
You can't complete 3 days in 1 day, LOL

I think he means beating every temple and fighting Skull kid in a single 3 day period

Three day cycle
Several more "hardcore" players of the game have found it entertaining to attempt beating all four dungeons and the final boss in a single three day cycle, though it is an extremely difficult task and requires very extensive knowledge of the game.
According to Speed Demos Archive, the fastest completion time for Majora's Mask is 1 hour, 53 minutes and 32 seconds by Daniel 'Jiano' Hart on August 9th, 2010.[5]
This is what i was talking about.
Basically what psycho said.

Well, I wouldn't get a TP speedrun.

I've spent an hour trying to catch a fish for the cat at the beginning of the game and gave up

Mmm, I love watching speed runs. Some most all of them are very impressive to see, I definitely won't be doing one anytime soon though. :p

Actually Wizrobe there are quite a few important key events that are required to be specific times in order to do them. Such as getting epona to beat the Gorman Brothers to get to Ikana canyon. And with the 7 zora eggs, GBT itself and the sheer length of STT I don't see how it would be at all possible to do a 3 day challenge with out the use of glitches and the likes.

Even Jiano who did successfully do it he beat the game on the final 6 hours while he was still in STT. Lol, it'd be nice to see how far you can get with out the use of glitches but I just don't see how it is even a little be plausible.

In an unrelated note:
I'm an avid speedrunner of OoT and MM. Never really cared enough to try to do full game speedruns but I've pulled off and practiced the various tricks used in most of them and can for the most part pull them off with marginal failures and what not. It's actually pretty fun to do in my opinion and breaths a little new life into the game.

Well, actually, if I recall correctly, Jiano used the Song of Double Time at least once to skip a cutscene. Also, he never used the Inverted Song of Time. I'm pretty sure that it's possible to do a 3-Day run without glitches (you'd have to get to Romani Ranch before night of the first day. That's probably the only really tough part). I've done a three day run myself (it was actually a Let's Play... the commentary is horrible, though), but I used Bombchu hovering quite a bit. Also, since it was also kind of a fun run and I wanted to do the bosses in a silly order (Gyorg, Twinmold, Goht, and then Odolwa), I wasn't prepared for Twinmold to absolutely wreck me for about five ingame hours. Luckily, I still had plenty of time at the end.

Also, this may sound crazy, but it's probably possible to have a one day run (using the stop time glitch with a bottle that is).

Lastly, Jiano's run was beaten a few months ago by Ingx24 (1:49:33), and the current fastest TAS of Majora's Mask is 1:29:32 by MrGrunz.

Oh, interested to find this. My best run is about 4 hours and 30 minutes in OoT. F trying to get the door of time skip completed. I cannot get the roll to the side down.

Never attempted one for the MM. I've tried, but so much stuff still ends up getting done because it's like impossible for me to do some things in MM like that wrapping in the fairy fountain's. I improvised in the goron place by getting the hookshot and zora (maybe that is how you should do it?) and the deku temple with bomb jumps. Love the bomb mechanics in MM, so much easier.
