@ beserker Ah, no spoilers!

Trains are great. My great grandfather was a conductor. I have his wind up watch.

Even this thread dies at night.

Hello Gorls, back after marathon running through the rest of Gundam X.

It was excellent! Now I'm watching...well, this one's fairly obvious.

What did I miss? Fill me in briefly on anything funny since my last posts, mhm~

Bananas are also completely useless.

Diddy needs some stuff like Din's Fire and lightning kicks to be truely viable.

@ BJN39 BJN39 remember a while ago when I made a statement saying that I would rather have Melee Zelda's smash attacks, and you were like why, and I linked a video showing why, and you were like "oh that version is where the multi-hits work"?

I'm playing on 20xx, because that's what this weekly likes to use, and I have probably landed... 15% of my Fsmashes and 0% of my Usmashes. To be fair I haven't used them much because lolMelee, but dear god I didn't know it was this bad. My actual copy of Melee is the very first US iteration so I had no idea. >_>

I loaded that and spammed Fsmash and Usmash. Literally no problems whatsoever. I go to 20xx and I just get punished if I LAND them.

Uuuuugh why do they LET THIS HAPPEN

It was due to a mechanic in 1.0 Melee (The oldest version.) where you couldn't actually SDI Multi-hits if they staled below 1%, (Which, after 1 use, Fsmash and Usmash fit that bill.) which was removed in 1.1 and on. Even though it made 90% of 2+ hit moves totally unreliable.

I don't even think the HAD any modification to the SDI multiplier on her multi-hits in Melee lmao.

But yeah, basically it was supposed to be a "glitch-fix" that ended up screwing almost every multi-hit move. There are multiple low tier characters where the player would opt for 1.0 if possible due to a few sort of usable multi-hit moves connecting better.

Speaking of which, is it a viable strategy to start with Sheik and then switch to Zelda halfway through to mess up your opponent? Seems like it could work. Same goes for Samus --> ZSS in Brawl (if anyone managed to get that utaunt --> dtaunt --> utaunt working ever)

Why is a pro controller $50? Do 3rd party pro controllers work, or do I just have to suck it up and pay?

I was messing around with Wii Fit the other day and I found out how ridiculous her crawl is.
Bout as good as her edge guarding game. Which by the way, is hilariously good.

One of my friends mains her and it never ceases to amaze me how good he does with her, and I HATE her SideB.

Whoa, that looks pretty useful. I'm gonna add that to my gameplan. I'm currently learning Wii Fit cause I plan to use her in in a future tourney. You seem to know a lot about the character. Can you give any tips ?
Okay, try to get in with nairs a lot, if you get one down its a 40% combo. Also learn to FF SH Nair because at around 90% the first hit leads to a Usmash. Her best kill moves are bair, uair, and Ftilt. Always make use of deep breathing it is one of the best moves in the game. It will help rack up percent or get an early kill. At the beginning a uthrow-uair-uair will work and sometimes Fthrow to fair. Fthrow to fair works if the opponent tries to jump after her fthrow. When charging SS, B reversing it when charging is a good mixup to scare your opponent. If they run at you, you can just release it. A ledge trump will benefit wii fit a lot since header spikes, forcing them to recovery again basically gets a free kill since invincibility is gone the next time you grab it and it gives her a free opportunity to header spike. Her croach is very good, it avoids many grabs and smashes. Against ZSS this is extremely help fill because then her only moves that will hit are dtilt, dsmash, and dair. Make use of her RTAC. It gives her more options, a spacing tool, and an approach. It works with her utilt, jab, standing grab, and her Dtilt kinda. Also if you ground them with jab, you can catch them with another and ground them again. The best follow up from a jab is dtilt because of dtilts high damage. Also This

Wow, that's a lot to take in. Thanks !

I've got another question. Which custom set do you recommend for her ?

I personally like 2321
Thanks again. Personally, I think Wii Fit with customs is about high mid. One of the reasons I picked up that character is because nobody expect a Wii Fit. They usually don't know the matchup.

It's unfortunate there's so little representation of the character in tourneys. Hopefully, I'm gonna use her as my secondary to back up Zelda in a tourney next month.

Yeah, her edge guarding game is really good. You don't want to be offstage with a Wii Fit.

You know, I'm kinda glad we'll be getting a balance patch soon because that means my replays will be all be cleaned up without me having to do it one by one. I can just record the important ones =P

The Hori Battle Pad (left) is under $30, I think, and people said it was good. Not sure about the PDP one (right).
