I was reading on the news about Marcia. For those that don't know, that's the name of the Cyclone that recently hit Australia, namely Queensland, which is where Aero lives.

So far no casualties have been reported save for some cases of missing people that have already been found, so at least we can be a little calm to know he's probably physically well. On the other hand, the cyclone made a mess when it touched land and there are like 60,000 people with no power. That will last until early next week, so he'll probably take a while to report back to us, at the very least. Let's hope his home didn't suffer any structural damage.

So, my run in Winter Brawl 9 is over. I didnt run into any matchups where I wanted to play Zelda, but I did wear my Zelda necklace to represent. I got to hang out with Dabuz which was cool too. I was knocked out of the tournament by an awesome falcon. The games were close, but he took me out with wicked good spikes. It was super hype and I can't be mad, they were wicked cool plays. He dair'd a lucario mid up b. However, I'm humiliated by how I got knocked out of winners.

This is gonna be mega John-y though.

The event only had 5 Wii Us with GCC adapters, so it's been going by wicked slow, and there are no spaces to do Friendlys or warmups. The first game I play In hours, not warmed up, is at the station being streamed by Smash Studios. At first I was excited to be on stream, but super nerves hit me. My opponent is a DDD. Cool, fine, awesome. My Robin styles DDD's. We're playing on battlefield, Robin's best stage, and the platforms protect me from above.

I got 2 stocked because I'm so nervous and panicing. Both kills were DDD's super engine hammer that's so easy to dodge. My friend tells me to switch to Lucario, my previous main. I do that and my first stock gets destroyed. However I play way better my second stock and very nearly won. I lost because I kept underestimating DDD's range.

I got absolutely destroyed on stream with over a thousand veiwers, and It was on a huge projector with everyone in person watching. I played much better in losers, but no one saw that, everyone saw me get wrecked in two games where I played no where near as good as usual. That really sucks. I was a wicked good sport about it, and I'm not mad at all, but I am humiliated by it. I'm not sure how to bounce back from that, but I'm gonna do better next time.

Summon the Plasm Wraith! Don't look it up if you don't want to spoil Pikmin 3.

Anyway, I just found out that Falco can grab reset with D-throw to Nair. Zionaze used it and found a video on it. There's also the reset with Fair if your opponent doesn't DI or DIs badly. I fought a Nolimar as Yoshi once a while ago. It was so weird seeing a him throw his Pikmin off the ledge to death. I just fought him while confused and laughing. He lost a stock and desperately tried to get Pikimin before getting beat up again. It was so weird and I never saved the replay at the time.

I'd like to make a match up discussion where I get to pick one like Ganondorf who while requested, I wanted to make a discussion. Meanwhile, Palutena, ROB, and Sheik were requests. So, Pally and ROB are going to be next week's and Sheik's the week after with, I don't know, Greninja because somebody *cough*@ FullMoon *cough* forgot that Falco existed.

I both like and hate her design. I like that she's got exactly the same clothes as Male!Robin (who I'm 100% sure was designed first). What I like about the design is that the clothes really are very scholarly and incredibly gender neutral.

However.... god, those Sailor Moon tails.

But I tend to go buster/speed against Jigglypuff. Timing your attacks is important in buster but as for speed, using your air speed to your advantage makes things way easier than it's suppose to be

People never believe me when I tell them they are defensive and run away all the time.

This game rewards that type of playstyle though, IMO. You can play aggressively but in the end, being campy is a lot more safer and it more rewarding. Well, most fighting games reward playing defensively so whatever

Dash attack, grabs, fsmash, dtilt, ftilt. His bnb moves are grounded, and he has terrific ground speed and good rolls. His aerials are more for when you've actually got your opponent in the air/offstage, though dairs are good for pressure during landing mixups (and sh dair OoS apparently? I haven't tried that yet personally). But yeah, mainly you want to be grounded at neutral and take to the air for juggles and edgeguards.

actually some online players are actually pretty good. Also palutena has some pretty good approaches since fair autocancels. She can cancel fair into grab, jab, she can approach well. Zelda I just run in and grab and hope for the best
