Oh my god. Brawl would have been 999% more fun for me if I actually used Marth. Why did I not use him? This time, he's legit godlike good unlike his crappy Smash 4 counterpart which I was initially hyped for until I realized how limited he was

Yeah, I played a few Brawl friendlies for the kicks and decided to use Marth out of no where.

I think the only good thing about not maining Marth back in Brawl is that my stupidity back then wouldn't be immolated since I'd be going to the Marth boards for whatever I need. I mean, I was dumb in the Snake boards and I was called out for it sometimes but I've heard things about the Marth boards culture having high standards or something. Idk if it's but this might be an error on my perception or interpretation so feel free to give me a history lesson on the Brawl Marth boards


Sheik (SSB4) is actually legit fun. Like, I'm having fun doing any move or combo with her

@KuroganeHammer How's Sheik's KO power for you? I mean, try to set up for bouncing fish or b-air but I feel like killing with Sheik can be a real struggle. I think it's really as bad as most players say

Actually a Lot of dtilts have a trip chance on them, Luigi's dtilt pops people straight up, but it still has an improved trip rate. I'm too lazy to convert the percent cause it's super irrelevant. just like the trip chance on his dash attack

Speaking of trips I just found out that Pika Dtilt trip → DAir is a true combo. Ofc DAir wpuld have to be SHAC'd in order for this to work.

I can see this being used sometimes because it's such an unexpected choice. Even though when you're using Pika's dtilt and it trips, it's best to go for the grab.

I was using Elsa avatars from around December 2013 until... huh. Well let's just say I was Frozen-obsessed for a good eight months. I was hit by the (as I like to call it) Frozen virus hard. Just ask my friends, they know.

I was on a Frozen hangover for a LONG time. I know that feeling very well. I mean, I watched the movie 16 times to be exact. 14 of those were in theaters so I had to pay for the tickets. The other 2 were on my TV screen

The first time I ever watched it was on a stream, and then I showed it to my mom and got her on the Frozen trip. Within a few weeks I bought the DVD the day it came out, and since then I've watched it at least twenty times. I've lost track over the past few months, but having watched it again last night after a while was refreshing, especially when all the images you have left for Frozen are fanfictions.

Yep, I guess we have a good idea how this works now

I tested this earlier and it works on Ganons above 50, by inputting and then in rapid succession you can potentially jab lock certain characters at certain percentages from one part of the stage to the other.
This works for as he takes a small step forward with his first jab, unlike whose 2nd jab is key to moving forward.

So, are Link's and Falco's more situational since Fox can pretty much Jab loop whenever he wants when I see a Fox use it?

Which seems to be the general consensus. If they left Brawl Marth alone and just changed the character design, he wouldn't be this "bad." Then again I don't use Marth in this game so what do I know.

Pretty much I suppose. The main purpose of Link's jab is... well, what that video just explained. Jab, jab, jab, jab, jab → every Smash attack not named forward smash. The thing is, you can combo the thing with down smash, for example. I just saw the Competitive Impressions thread and saw that it works with almost every character except small, floaty characters like Jigglypuff.

Not sure if Falco has this ability as well; he could possibly have this because his jab has very little cooldown. If he doesn't have what Link has, then his Jab is for damage purposes.

As you said Fox can jab loop whenever he wants, whether it be confirm a grab or an USmash. This is probably because he has one of the fastest jabs in the game (frame 2 if I recall correctly).

I thought you knew the mechanics already :V

The two easy, better ways to do it are:

• Hold the control stick at a diagonal slightly above down-forward (you should be crouching, but A will still jab). Press A each time you start to crouch; if you're too quick though, you'll get a down-angled ftilt.
• Hold the control stick down and hit the C-stick diagonally with tilt stick. Does not cause random ftilts.

I don't know much about Fox's beyond that it's really good (it had been known for a long time, but seeing Larry Lurr get away with it multiple times at Apex cemented it), but it moves you forward so you'll run out of stage at some point, and I'm fairly certain you can SDI out. Link's on the other hand, has multiple launch angles to keep them inside the attack, and even SDIing down to land won't let you shield it.

He can 0-death Bowser with it apparently.
