I really don't think he'd cut Greninja. Between Lucario and Mewtwo are likely, perhaps even Charizard. I think characters with mostly unique movepools will probably stay just to cut down the time needed to make "unique" characters. Bayonetta should stay and so should Ryu. They are very unique in the Smash world and offer very different ways of playing. Cutting them would just be dumb.

That sounds like most of the characters in Smash, to be honest. When was the last time Ness, Captain Falcon, or Mr. G&W, etc were relevant outside of smash?

That is not even comparable lol.

Those characters are there to rep a franchise on their own, aside from Ness who also has Lucas but it's still sparce when compared to Mario, FE and Pokemon. Rosalina is not as important as the other Mario characters that are currently in Smash 4 while Captain Falcon and the like are there to show Nintendo's wide variety of franchises, no matter to how recent their titles were. They are icons.

Personally, the most likely character to be cut imo is Mega Man.

I honestly don't understand the rational behind Bowser Jr.

I've seen the things Tweek does with that character, and I'm incredibly doubtful of a Dedede, Falco, or a Shulk for that matter matching it, let alone exceeding it.

In the Bottom 5 is just bizarre.

Big D has taken a set of M2K with just King Dedede I believe.

i just saw the tier list. just think about it this way.... you can't really please everyone. my only actual gripe with the list is that roy's placement is too low. also, lucina's disparity with marth is HUGE. wtf. but everything else kind of comes off as, "well, it's understandable why that's what you think," so you know. this list is pretty good

I have a few very slight different opinions (Metaknight over Bayonetta and ZSS over Ryu, for example, and I'm seemingly more optimistic about Megaman and Villager and less about Yoshi and Falco than you) and I don't think you're giving Little Mac his due (not that there's much to give, but still), but it's sort of absurd how close that is to my own thoughts on the matter.

ZSS has her slow grab (which has a lot of range, but that endling lag is terriblé) and doesn't have the tools that Ryu has for his pretty consistent kill confirms.

I made minimal changes, just being Yoshi's and Meta Knight's placement.
