Putting them side-by-side makes the differences a lot more apparent.
Just look at the rug texture in the Zant scene. The old one looks so horrible now. And that's just one example. Hyrule Field is another really noticeable one.

You can even see the stitching in Zelda's dress now :surprised: Too bad we didn't get to see how her face looked in HD.
Oh and no jaggies to be found anywhere!

Edit: Zant's and Midna's helmets also look much better. Link's face too.

Edit 2: Some good screenshot comparisons if anyone cares http://www.eggplante.com/2015/11/12/comparing-twilight-princess-to-its-new-hd-upgrade/

TPHD looks okay... Some of those character textures looked really good but then we have things like Zelda's chunky sword and Link's square fingers making everything look ugly. Wolf Link looks like he missed the graphics upgrade too, yowza.

Looks like they basically ported over WWHD's UI though, so at least we have the Gamepad item menu.

Unless they decide to gut the intro segments I'm not sure what they can really fix that'd matter like they did with WWHD, though. Hero mode is a given, (needs a super hero mode or something hehe) and the amiibo support might be interesting, especially with how it's supposed to tie in with Zelda U.

Plz don't fix gate clip and Longjump attack.

Eh... TP HD still hasn't impressed me much. TP is my favorite Zelda so I'm a little disappointed that not much seems to have been done to it.

I'm looking forward to DQ8, since that was my first DQ game and they're adding two new characters to the game too. :yeahboi:

Obviously hyped for Xenoblade X, RBY Virtual Console releases, and PXZ2. :V

Off topic; I found a pretty amazing Source Film Maker video that a bunch of YouTubers worked on for a competition that Valve has once a year for animators to win an exclusive weapon for TF2. It's not finished, but they only had 10 minutes left before the deadline. I dunno whether I should post it or not. :V

What do you gorls think?

If they put cloud in I'm really hoping for a Keyblader from Kingdom Hearts. If that happens... Sorry gorls.

I briefly looked up some of the character creation options in Xenoblade Chronicles X earlier today.

And I found out that Shulk & Fiora's voice actors are available voice options in game. :yeahboi:
They go by "Classic". Male also has Yuri Lowenthal (Yosuke, Simon, Ricken) as a voice option and Female has Cristina Vee (Noel, Shantae, Cerebella) as one too. :3 (In the international version, the Female avatar doesn't have a modifier for their bust size. But in the Japanese version, they do.)

^I was going to post about that. If anyone is wondering, 162 have been confirmed dead in the attacks so far... prayers go out to those in the crossfire.

News link in case you haven't heard yet: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europ...ng&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=news_central
I was just about to ask what happened. Thanks.

So...what I'm getting at is an all-out attack in five different places in France? This is like the equivalent of 9/11, or perhaps worse. Terrible.

I just want to try and lighten the mood in here, that's a really sad event. ;_;
Marie is still on par with Zelda's sassT even with the new update.

How much Sass Tea did she order???

Aside from that, Rest in Peace to those who lost their lives today in the attacks in Paris. This is a terrible situation and I'm sorry to those affected.

So out of a total of 14* characters that can lagless-get up from Ledge, Ban•Zelda is one :secretkpop::

The advantage over the plebs grows worse by the week.

On a social note, shoutouts to Dakpo when I was watching Ven's game on stream and was posting about how Dakpo kept referring back to himself and redirecting conversations to himself about how he was a teacher or discovered X before they were popular etc etc, and he actually found my post in the zelda board (NOBODY TAGGED HIM) and liked it.

What the hell was the man doing just browsing the Zelda board for.

Every time I see his tag now I just get reminded of it lmao

You only need a reaction time that is equal to 2700 APMs :^ ).

(you have a minimum of 4 frames to do it, 7 assuming lylat slanted up for whatever reason).

Morning girls. How's everyone doing? :4zelda:

Just had my breakfast and I've managed to get the 13th Ending in BoI Rebirth 3DS. Just three more to go. :yeahboi:

That lagless getup tech seems really interesting. *Sees it works with Lucina*

I'm glad she has some new tech to use. (Also, I heard the news of what happened. May they rest in peace.)

So for once

Zelda is currently part of a non-full-cast group of characters

That have a possibly awesome tech.

And Sheik isn't in that group either.

*Waits for patch to patch it out*

This actually seems like something to think about and practice. Like, Zelda could recover to the ledge, but it was super hard for her to get back up from the ledge. Maybe Zeldas can mix this in and raise the chances for returning from the ledge?!

You think you’re better than the cashier at McDonald’s.

The fast food strikes across the country aren’t causing nearly as much conversation as they should be. Everyone was on the Occupy Wall Street bandwagon – where are all of those voices of support now? Why are people so ambivalent toward the low pay at places like McDonald’s and Burger King?

Because you don’t want the fry cook to make as much money as you do.

You did everything the “right” way. You finished high school and got your degree. You did unpaid internships and worked a part-time job to make ends meet. Now you’ve gotten an entry-level position in your white-collar field making $30,000 to start. You’re working 50-60 hour weeks under a boss you hate hoping a better job will come along and doing your best at this one so someone will take notice and give you a raise or a promotion. You did everything “right.”

So why should the single mother with a GED taking your money at McDonald’s make $15 an hour? She didn’t go to college. She didn’t pay her dues at internships. She doesn’t have a mountain of student debt as her reward for getting a magical piece of paper that opens doors to a job interview. Why should she get paid as much money as you do?

That’s the hurdle the minimum wage battle is facing. The way we pay our workers is a direct reflection on how we value people in those positions. We pay doctors truckloads of money because they save lives. We respect them. They went to school for a decade and we reward them for it. We pay construction workers a fraction of that because they just pour cement and swing hammers. They didn’t go to school for years and years so their contribution to society matters less and we pay them accordingly. Nevermind the fact that those doctors can’t do their jobs without buildings to house their practice, we put construction workers ten rungs below them.

We give lip-service to supporting a minimum wage hike, but we don’t put nearly as much effort into doing something about it. What happens to your own sense of worth in this capitalist society when the guy at Taco Bell is in the same income bracket you are? Whatever your employment complaints, you can always say “well…at least I’m not making minimum wage at KFC” but that pep talk is taken away if the minimum wage makes its way to livable standard.

So we sit back and watch the protests on television and read about the strikes on the Internet but we’re not moved to take action. It’s not a conscious decision – it’s just a byproduct of being brought up in our competitive American marketplace. Hit the books! Get a degree! Work hard! Achieve the American Dream!

Unfortunately, the American Dream is moving further and further out of reach, not just for the bottom rungs of the economic ladder, but for those who also did everything “right.” The “right” way kids are now having to settle for what should have been the minimum all along and a new bottom of the heap has to be forged to separate the two. With any luck, these strikes could be the beginning of a real in-depth conversation about income inequality in this country. The top of the ladder can be brought closer to the bottom, but only if we all take up the cause. Don’t avoid the fast food worker’s plight because you’re afraid of your own social status. Step up and support your neighbors so that our kids might actually have a shot at that American Dream we were brought up to believe in.

Do you think fast food workers deserve to earn an anti-poverty wage or not?

I would say that everybody deserves that. The article is calling attention to the fact that workers making a little above minimum wage tend to not support fast food workers fight for $15/hour because that would mean they would be making less than them -- and would then be at the bottom of the ladder in terms of socio-economic position.

I make a little above minimum wage at the Y I work at -- $9.50 vs. Massachusetts' current min wage of $9.00 -- so this would mean that McDonald's workers would make more than me. But instead of saying that McDonald's workers shouldn't make more than me and shutting them down by calling them lazy or entitled, I'd rather they get paid a decent wage, and then fight for everyone else making less, myself included, to get a raise as well.

It's in Big Business' best interests that we fight each other and quarrel over who "deserves" more, instead of uniting in solidarity and demanding that those at the top give up some of their share so that everyone can live comfortably. I've seen things go around on Facebook saying that EMTs make less than $15/hour, so fast food workers shouldn't make that. But why don't we also fight for EMTs to get paid more (since they are also underpaid) instead of dismissing fast food workers, whose work we consider less worthy of respect? We shouldn't drag others down with us out of jealousy. Just because we're underpaid ourselves doesn't mean we shouldn't support other workers who are too.

I work at a grocery store and I make $7.65 (up from $7.50, which I started at). The most I've ever worked in a week is 30 hours and that was just under a $200 paycheck. If someone works 40 hours a week (the "standard" work week), he or she would still make under $300. Gas, food, bills...the average person has a ton of responsibilities that need to be taken care of. So then people go on food stamps and other state-assisted living programs so they can survive.

But then those who make a livable wage are the ones complaining about all the people on welfare and food stamps. It honestly confuses me. Instead of making state-assisted living programs harder to access, why don't we increase minimum wage so less people need them? That's killing two birds with one stone imo.

I have a life crisis.

I'm always tired, but I hate the taste of coffee. The only thing I can get at Starbucks is their Eggnog Latte just because I love Eggnog. Honestly, I don't have the time before school to go to Starbucks either. I'd drink tea but I only like iced tea and it takes too long to do. I'm so conflicted.
