For the patch, I think they should really do something about the speed of Link's squat/jump since it could really do a lot to help his footsie game. Less startup lag on the boomerang too since I feel like it's used like a melee attack more often than a projectile nowadays in such a way that it follows up to stuff. Faster Jab 1 would be nice.

I think Zelda is too OP and needs to be fixed quick

Personally, I'm actually pleasantly surprised that Cloud is in the game. Not someone I would ask for (or expect) but I can't complain.

Also, Midgar will probably be my favorite Omega due to the music, even moreso if FF8 music is added.

So, safe to say Cloud is the ballot choice. It's almost not surprising at this point. Happy he was chosen over certain other characters myself, but it's still pretty lame he's not Nintendo related at all.

I'm still not sure what his big gimmick is... No way Sakurai would make him just another swordsman. Something about limits? It's strange because they went into detail about Robin and Shulk's abilities fairly well.

Probably to be like a flower garden to further make Zelda look like Aeris.

This trailer shows how Sakurai feels about Zelda; he will kill her off in the future. That means our BAN•ZELDA campaign will be a reality.

I am a -huge- Final Fantasy fan, so this is just law for me to main him as well. He looks really fun!

Alright gorls, looks like Zelda is going to have to move over because my precious bby Cloud is coming soon. The Queen is going to have to make room for the King. I haven't been this hyped for anything Smash related since the Brawl days.

I'm still never leaving you all, you know that. I'll just have to become a double agent and divide my time between the gorls and whatever the FF nerds will call themselves. I can do this.
(I'm probably going to stay more involved with Zelda, because who needs a potentially viable main )

I'm a bit disappointed in the looks of the game. It looks like they just increased the resolution and got rid of all the jaggies. I was expecting a WWHD treatment. I'm hoping the "other improvements" will overshadow the graphics.

But really, I don't think it looks bad necessarily. The low resolution (by today's standards) and jaggies from lack of any AA really hurt the looks of the game. It will definitely look nice with all that fixed, just...not as nice as everyone was hoping.

Still hyped regardless. I'm hoping my Gamestop won't run out of preorders by tomorrow afternoon. I need that Wolf Link figure and soundtrack.

Oh and they'll also probably update the textures. That was another graphical downfall of the original.

Can I just take a moment to express how I felt when thinking the start of Cloud's trailer was something Metroid related.

It was like a baby Anhanguera (or a bird for you non-Pterosaur loving peeps put there) finally flying for the first time, only to crash into the side of a canyon and get eaten by a pack of crocodiles.

HD itself is a misused term. High-definition only works if you're talking about 720i/p and up to 1440p resolutions. After that, it's 2K to 4K which is also apparently called UHD or ultra high-definition. That's it; HD is only video related and at a certain point, it becomes really annoying when HD is used for random stuff like a freaking HD audio... I'm sorry, but when did audio become low resolution and high resolution? At the same time, calling stuff HD just seems like marketing and for some gamers, like PC gamers, resolutions are just resolutions. Oh, look! Twilight Princess is now available in 1080p. Cool... Nothing's different. It'd be like if you ran Crysis on Ultra on 720p and then switched to 1080p. The only difference is that the resolution's higher. Just call it a remaster or hell, just release with "now for Wii U" under the title. Don't get me started on GOTY or "definitive edition". Ugh... marketing.

I finally got around to starting Shovel Knight. Pretty cool game. Looks like I missed a Fujin visiT for it though.

While thinking about the name "Linkle", I was wondering if there was supposed to be meaning to it lost in translation. I suppose it could be translated as "Wrinkle" as well, making her a wrinkle in time of the Hero of Time. "Linkle" sounds like a better name than that admittedly, and draws the connection to Link more clearly for the english audience.

I brought this up to a friend and he suggested it means Link x Tingle and that conversation didn't go any further.

Just watching a bit of the Nintendo Minute video with has The Completionist and JWittz on. And they talked about how Jirard The Completionist was screaming his head off and cheering when he saw the Cloud Trailer.
