Was playing Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax with friends yesterday, was tons of fun. But I was acting super drunk and started trash talking everyone and salt was everywhere even tho I only had pizza and root beer beforehand LOL

Anyway, I was using Miyuki Shiba, that ice queen beaut that loves her big brother "onii-sama" Jesus Tatsuya and wtf she's such a bad character.

She only had one move that hits low, and it's super short in range. She is a zoning character but her main special projectile is literally Din's Fire bad. Her combos don't do that much damage and her neutral is lacking. HER MOVES ALL LITERALLY COME OUT ON FRAME ZELDA. Despite this I still used her every time because I love waifus that suck :secretkpop:

In the end I was beating everyone for playing the game for the first time, including one perfect. And I wasn't doing the auto combos that the game gives you by mashing square either, was legit doing half circle moves to win. People got salty that this terrible character with a bro complex was destroying them. I thank Zelda for teaching me the ways of winning with a bad character.

This guy I was playing uses Shana and Kirino. It took me a while but I decimated his Fire waifu very easily. :^)

But then Kirino started throwing trash at me and I didn't know what to do other than allow Kirino to show that she was top tier trash smh :^(

Your pizza was spiked. Also, games like that remind me I should watch more anime.

Lastly, Yo-kai watch is fun.

Funny is that for Dengeki, I actually want a character from Strawberry Panic to be a representative in that game for that series. I was already thinking of stupid ideas, like having Nagisa as an assist or have her and Shizuma be a Tag Team character like Hisui&Kohaku in Melty Blood. Or a puppet character like Ice Climbers.

sometimes I go to the Robin social and I ask myself "Just how good do you think he is?"

I wonder if they think Robin can cure cancer with his snail mobility

The :4sonic: metastasizes too fast, and before Robin knows it, it's spread throughout his entire body and become terminable :(

Last night I dreamt that v1.1.3 replaced Captain Falcon's upB with KoF 95 Omega Rugal's Genocide Cutter and after one game on FG postpatch I sold my 3DS.

25%, killed at 80%, and i-frames as far as the eye can see.

Rizen Rizen so any tips on what to improve besides everything about how I play Lucas? (Not counting the last few matches since I basically gave up and was just randomly throwing out attacks even though that's what I was doing in the first place...)

The item exists, it just

can't be picked up
Sometimes I wonder how things like this slip through Q&A... Reminds me of the Banjo Kazooie run (or was it the sequel?) at a GDQ where they called up the composer and he ended up doing a little "back in my day" speech about quality testing.

Zone more with PK fire; if I have to approach you make me really work for it. Pressure me offstage with PK thunder. Mix up your game. You almost always approached with SH>airdodge and ledge returned by ledge hop>Zair-ing.
99% Speedrun? Lolol. Did they forget to put in the last item or is it a Baiten Katios type thing?
The programmers added special trophies in each level but for got to add a hitbox to one. You can never collect it, lol. Edit, what Lavani Lavani said.

Ayy so gorls me and Nammy went to our first offline tournament~ :happysheep:

We both drowned in pools :emptysheep:

But I got 5th in the amateur bracket so that's a start~

There were some really good people there too like Yoh, Toronto Joe, DKbill, and Ray Kalm

I used all 4 of my chars but I only used :4jigglypuff: once because I really didn't want to die at 50%. I feel preeeety confident in :4pikachu:, and :4darkpit:.

And of course I used the beloved queen...

:rosalina:

:secretkpop:

I don't even think I did that great with Rosa tbh

I'd like to do something special for my 2000th post so here's what I had in mind.

Remember that "honest opinion" thing that happened way back when? I'd like to give that a shot.

Basically you just like this post and I'll give you my opinion of you.

Over half of my posts came from this thread and since you gurls are such an awesome bunch, I kind of owe you all some thanks for all the good times I've had here so far.

I'll post my opinions on Monday so everyone has a chance to read this.

Look forward to it~ :zeldamelee:

I read an interesting article about Sex Ed. (I really like how they call it "Sexuality Education," instead of Sexual Education -- I'm going to start calling it that from now on) in the Netherlands called: The case for starting sex education in kindergarten.

I picked out some passages that I liked, so you guys can get the gist of the article if you don't want to read it all.

Welcome to “Spring Fever” week in primary schools across the Netherlands, the week of focused sex ed classes… for 4-year olds.

Of course, it’s not just for 4-year-olds. Eight-year-olds learn about self-image and gender stereotypes. 11-year-olds discuss sexual orientation and contraceptive options. But in the Netherlands, the approach, known as “comprehensive sex education,” starts as early as age 4.
By law, all primary school students in the Netherlands must receive some form of sexuality education. The system allows for flexibility in how it’s taught. But it must address certain core principles — among them, sexual diversity and sexual assertiveness. That means encouraging respect for all sexual preferences and helping students develop skills to protect against sexual coercion, intimidation and abuse. The underlying principle is straightforward: Sexual development is a normal process that all young people experience, and they have the right to frank, trustworthy information on the subject.
At the St. Jan de Doper school, a group of kindergartners sit in a circle, as their teacher, Marian Jochems, flips through a picture book. The pages contain animals like bears and alligators hugging.

“Why are they hugging?” she asks the class.

“Because they like each other,” one girl answers.

Jochems asks them to think about who they like the most. Several kids say their mom or dad. One girl names her little sister. A few name other children at school.

“How does it feel when that person hugs you?” Jochems asks.

“I feel warm from the inside,” one boy replies. “It’s like there are little butterflies in my stomach.”

Lessons like this are designed to get kids thinking and talking about the kind of intimacy that feels good and the kind that doesn’t. Other early lessons focus on body awareness. For example, students draw boys’ and girls’ bodies, tell stories about friends taking a bath together, and discuss who likes doing that and who doesn’t. By age seven, students are expected to be able to properly name body parts including genitals. They also learn about different types of families, what it means to be a good friend, and that a baby grows in a mother’s womb.
“People often think we are starting right away to talk about sexual intercourse [with kindergartners],” van der Vlugt says. “Sexuality is so much more than that. It’s also about self image, developing your own identity, gender roles, and it’s about learning to express yourself, your wishes and your boundaries.”

That means the kindergartners are also learning how to communicate when they don’t want to be touched. The goal is that by age 11, students are comfortable enough to navigate pointed discussions about reproduction, safe sex, and sexual abuse.

I didn't read the article, but the quotes sound really good and I would definitely support something like that in American school systems.

America is super prude for whatever reason (I would assume it stems from our Puritan roots), and it's honestly illogical. There's no reason for us to be afraid of sex and sexuality.

Zelda got third in a Brawl CPU tourney. Defeated Meta Knight, Pikachu and Wario on the way. Sheik got 5th and even had to transform into Zelda to take a game off of Pikachu. Her brokenness transcends games! Her sole weakness seems to be Din's Fire offstage, which is offset by Din's Fire's broken qualities on stage. Oh boy there was a huge flame war between The Bit Block and Lamarr!
So basically The Bit Block/Josh commented on one of Lamarr's videos about how unboxing videos are effortless and I do agree tbh but it was a quick troll comment. And Lamarr did the exact OPPOSITE of what you want to do when you see a troll comment.
He wrote an entire essay questioning the quality of Josh's channel. He ended it with "I'm not mad" which was a huge joke after calling Josh racist for absolutely no reason and then posting Josh's and his comment on Twitter and tagging iJustine, Gamexplain, and Nintendo of America for again, absolutely no reason. Then a huge flame war happened on Twitter where Etika and all of Lamarr's fans were praising Lamarr for saying "Lamarr was just protecting himself and he did what was right, Josh was attacking Lamarr for no reason!" Josh's comment came out of nowhere, but it wasn't an attack, and didn't justify randomly calling people racist and spreading it all over Twitter. Lamarr was the one doing the attacking I feel. So you know, Josh makes a video on it to spread it even more since THAT was a smart idea! At least he apologized in the video, but an entire 20 minute video on it was maybe, just maybe a biiiiiiiit of a dumb idea. (It was more than a bit.) Lamarr on Twitter said he posted another comment apologizing on the video, but I don't see an apology in the comments anywhere so...
It's overall both of their faults. Josh made a troll comment, which he shouldn't have done, but then Lamarr blew it WAY out of proportion which I think was the biggest problem here. I mean, Gamexplain gets plenty of troll comments, all channels do. But they ignore the comments and move on, not type us a 5 paragraph reply and then post it on Twitter and then back it up with "But I'm not mad." Josh apologized but did make attacks in his video. They should both just make apologies to each other on Twitter with nothing tagged on. No tagging others, no insults, they shouldn't even mention what happened. Just apologize and move on.
I guarantee that if Lamarr makes a video on this, RIP both channels.
Aaaaand Lamarr just deleted the tweet where he said he apologized on the video and still hasn't apologized.
His mind is more confusing than one that belongs to a Rosalinda Cultist.

Edit: The topics of the Zelda social are more eclectic and haywire than before lmao.

Josh makes general Nintendo videos, Lamarr unboxed stuff. Links to their channels: Josh Lamarr
Also when I was getting the links to their channels the first video that showed up was the "Galaxy Diva" video someone posted a while back. I listened to it once and now YouTube thinks that's the first video I want to watch every time I go there. .-.

Still not as bad as his KOF94 Genocide Cutter.

or how about Igniz's infinite in 2001?

But the most broken FG boss of all time is the General from Kaiser Knuckle. Have you seen him Vanilla? Here's a checklist and a video.
- Instant no cooldown 3 way projectile
- Infinite blockstrings with normals
- An invincible teleport and an incredible grab range
- The best frame data in the game
Even GUILTY GEAR PROS gave up against this guy.

I think our modern day Rugal (KOF XIV hype is real) or General would be Parace. In case any of you are not aware of how ridiculous she is:
Because regenerating health, being able to chain screen filling supers, teleporting, insane range, and half health normal combos weren't enough. ArcSys needs to chill. I'm proud to say I've gotten a round off of her several times, but I've yet to fully beat her. My underage gorl + spirit god skills just aren't enough for this game.

FG has a pretty bad reputation in most places, but it's somehow even worse in Australia. 15 million Japanese who leave as soon as they join the room, and then the one Australian you get is playing on dial-up :/

Somewhat related, why does every FG Link have dial-up

Is it all a coincidence? Are they lagging on purpose? Or do they play Link because they don't have good internet?

I used to try and play out every match but at this point whenever I run across them (or anyone laggy) I just nope on out of there. Not worth my time to spend 10 minutes playing a 4 minute match with unblockable projectiles and unreactable smashes.

That's pretty scary, but what scares me about General is that he even floored GUILTY GEAR PROFESSIONALS, top level ones at that. THAT is terrifying. Like, I have no idea what the Kaiser Knuckle devs were going for, but General's winquote tips me off. "I AM A PERFECT SOLDIER!". Indeed.

FYI if you're wondering how the cooldown on his projectiles is, aka how LOW IT IS, think of it like this. On hit, he can do his entire teleport and combo you off of a projectile from across the screen. Or he can just infinite you with the projectiles, depending on how he feels. Wtf this boss.
