Well that was a ride. While I had fun watching it, I don't know how to feel about it now that the episode is over. Honestly, while the ride and twists made it enjoyable while watching it, the pacing was quite fast. Too fast for such an episode. The reason being is that by the end of the episode, I ended up thinking to myself "why?" We have absolutely no motivation from the terrorists at all.
Didn't like all the torture or blood. I thought the amount was fine as it was and I thought the scene where they censored Teleport kid's face damage was proof that they weren't going to do anything too drastic. Now I'm worried at one things they will end up doing. Especially since there was apparently a ratings change. In episode 7 there was scene where Yuu was threatening to stab a guy in the eye. That could theoretically happen now. :/
Now for that Nao scene. I said it before, but overall fanservice isn't a problem. If a girl has big boobs, than they have big boobs. If a girl wears skimpy clothing, they prefer to wear skimpy clothing. If they have a perverted personality they have a perverted personality. These are all justified because there are girls who do this/have that in real life, so it would be expected that some girls would be like that in anime.
However, the problem is when it affects the story. There isn't a reason I can think of for her to be in her underwear. Even if we say the terrorist were perverts, if they were, they would have done much worse. Yet, she didn't look to be abused at all.
Also...are truth serums actually a thing? Seriously?
Do like how they handled Yuu getting what I consider "nerfed." That entire action scene was awesome to look at.
Want to play Devil's Advocate for two things that I've seen people complain about.
"Why didn't they send Yuu in protective gear?"
...Being? Was he suppose to show up in Knight's Armor? Even if he brought something that was protective against a knife, what if instead the weapon was a gun?
"Shun was a brilliant tactician and should've planned better."
Again, disagree. After all, he endangered many people's lives in his first couple time leaps. It was only after the 3rd-4th when he came up with the idea for a school. He seems like the guy who makes mistakes and then sees what angle to approach it from afterwards. He was banking on Yuu being able to time-leap to form a plan afterwards.
So where do I think the anime will go from here?
Well, depending on how many terrorist there are, they should now know the location of both the research area and the school housing the people with special abilities. So something is going to happen with that.
I also think they are going to kill off Nao eventually. I feel like with the last episodes being titled: "Promise" and "Records from the future," Yuu and Nao are going to make a promise, they kill off Nao to make the promise more heartbreaking, and then Yuu is going to use the video recordings she used to solve all the problems.
