Literally, Roastedlina. Hoist by her own petard much?
I think y'all just hate fun
I do think tomahawk is a stupid and unnecessary name for a simple action though.
Same with "Hoo Ha", "Beep Boop", "Ding Dong", "Checkmate", "JV", reverse aerial rush (RAR) where I have no idea why "rush" is involved since you can just turn around and Bair without "rushing" - I swear someone talked about RAR Ftilts which is logically impossible -, and a bunch of other unnecessary terms. Tomahawk doesn't even make sense. What is it even referring too? Oh, a jump or hop into nothing? Yeah, empty hop or empty jump is just fine. Not to mention what the hell is a "full hop"? Oh, you mean a regular jump since Smash doesn't have super jumps? Gee, and I thought we could short hop, full hop, and jump. Then there's stuff like IASA and FAF which are the same thing, but only Smash uses those terms while other fighting games assume you know that the next frame after total frames is when you can act. It wouldn't be 30 total frames if you couldn't act until frame 32; the total frames would be 31 instead.
On another note, would people mind if stuff was simplified even further or standardized (differently)? Like tilts, dash attack, smashes, aerials, and grabs, were just jab or st.A (standing attack), da.A (dash attack), u.T (up tilt), f.T (forward/side tilt), d.T (down tilt), u.S (up smash), f.S (forward/side smash), d.S (down smash), n.A (neutral air), u.A (up air), f.A (forward air), b.A (back air), d.A (down air), z.A (Zair or "Midair *insert tether grab item's name here*"), st.G (standing grab), da.G (dash grab), and p.G (pivot grab)? The amount of variations of Fair, F-air, F-Air, Forward Smash, Side Smash, F.smash, and the fact the game even calls jabs and neutral airs as standard attack, standard combo, and standard air attack makes things feel unorganized.
Edit: I just realized that foxtrotting is just a flowery version of dashing and running. Dashing is the first part before running. Initial dash is the same as dashing and foxtrotting is just repeatedly (initial) dashing. Running is just sustained "dashing".
