Also why is the Jigglypuff Little Mac Match-up so hard omg.
Because Jigglypuff is bad :smirk:

I mean, if Mr. Grounded can take on Jigglypuff then she doesn't have much of a chance. His defensive game is just too strong. Though if she gets to throw him he's in for a world of hurt.

I wonder if Spinphony would actually be useful against him lol. Then again if she gets customs he gets his side-b customs.

I know haha, that's why I always spend an hour on even simple stages. There's something up with the grid slightly shifting a unit or two randomly when you scroll/zoom, or something like that.
I think it's because fall-through platforms are put a little above the grid square.

also lava circles

I need to use more lava

Believe it or not, you can get them to be level sometimes by moving and zooming. It's very wonky, I don't appreciate it.

And hahahaha yes, that stage is quite ridiculous. This is actually a lot of fun.

I'm going to avoid the tier list discussion

I tinkered around with Zelda a bit. Idk why anyone would try using d-throw > elevator over just going straight into elevator. I think the combo percentages for d-throw > elevator are also the very percentages in which a grounded elevator's probably going to kill (Key word: I think). Maybe d-throw > elevator is a good idea if you're dealing with a shield happy opponent (in this case, grabbing is the best option), but d-throw > elevator is reeeally risky (it's not really hard at all to execute, tbh)

Of course, if you're one who's all about style over substance, then by all means go for the combo

It's a p hard MU, she actually does better against the top tiers, then the mid tiers ruin her.

Little mac just rushes her down on the ground. His shield pressure is great so he can ruin a defensive jigg's day. He kills her so early too. Her dash attack is her saving grace in this MU. Since it has invincibility, it'll beat all his moves and knock him offstage. If she just gets him in the air, she'll rack percent or get a stock. But it'll be hard getting it through a punish due to his great normals. Edgeguarding him is fun. It's also hard to rest due to his quick moves and if she whiffs, he'll kill her at like 30%.

Tippers with Marth is so satisfying... I'd like to play him, buuuuuuuut I don't like his voice and I don't want to go "Melee". The other Falco players' other used characters consists of Marth, Lucina, Mr. Game & Watch, Captain Falcon, Greninja, Diddy Kong, Link, Fox, Meta Knight, the Pits, Toon Link, Luigi, Mario, Robin, Rosalina, Kirby, Wii Fit Trainer, Shulk, Dr. Mario, Roy, Sheik, and ZSS. I want to be a special snowflake, but that leaves my options as: Ike, Ike, Ike, Ike, Ganondorf, Ike, Ike, Peach, Ike, Ike, Ryu, Ike, Ike, Ike, and Ike. :p

I wasn't real impressed with that Mac tbh. Too many smashes and not enough FTilt/DTilt. I did like how he used UTilt and the Rising Uppercut KO he got on you though.

But yeah, Mac just walls Jigglypuff out. Her dash attack doesn't have invincibility by the way, it just keeps going even if it clanks.

Alright. I take back what I said about Back slash. It's not totally bad or anything

It's far from bad but it's somewhat lacking. It's good for harassing opponents above you or for punishing commitments in mid-air and it's viable for tech chasing. So yeah, there. Really late answer (this was pages ago) but my 2 cents from what I've done with the new back slash so far. It's also decent for ledge trapping but what surprised me though is how effective it is against dealing with opponents that are above you because the first hitbox of back slash appears right on top of you (this is why the old back slash has an easier time sweet spotting on opponents in mid-air, now it's much easier). It's also more effective against projectile camping, surprisingly

And on that note, I'm going to a tournament 9 hours from now, more or less. Gonna train my reactions by playing a game that's not Smash 4. Lol

Huh, that's cool, I guess Backlash could be a good way for Shulk to stop shuriken spam from Greninja by jumping and catching him on endlag, maybe. I don't remember how fast it is now.

Frame 22. Just think of something like Link's dash attack except with a higher vertical leap. I guess

Anyway, can anyone teach me ho2Roy in 2 sentences?

@ kenniky kenniky Haha yes, they are lots of fun! I like the ridiculous ones, but the ones you can have serious matches on too are also quite fun too. GGs, we'll have to do some more friendlies soon!

Hm... Greninja has 25 frames of endlag on shuriken so Backslash could be a way to punish it.

Though if Shulk jumps over the shuriken and backslashes then thanks to jump squat it would actually be 27 frames minimum which is just enough for Greninja to powershield.

I think.

I'm not good with this stuff lol.

can't you just troll for a percent lead and then wait out the clock? the only thing he can catch you with in the air is upB and if he whiffs its free grab :secretkpop:

mac vs Jiggly i don't think is that bad if your willing to wait and time out with a lead. even if not is still not as bad as Zeldawful vs Mac

I don't think Shulk needs a jump to get over shurikens, but there are a lot of factors when it comes to punishing projectile usage (which frame the projectile/article comes out, how far apart are the two characters, who threw out a move first, etc) so it's best not to think it through too much. Even then, back slashing against projectile camping is only do-able if Shulk is already nearing mid-range against Greninja. Instead of camping with water shurikens at that point, just attempt to shield grab or hell try to duke it out against him (not really the safest option but it seems do-able for Greninja anyway). Just bait out the laggy attacks or throw out the down B counter. If you counter f-air or b-air or any of Shulk's attacks, it's probably going to hit. Just make sure you don't touch him when he's going to art cancel because if you counter his b-air, the landing lag will get cancelled and that's basically a free punish for Shulk at that point. You can also try to get into CQC against Shulk because well.... Shulk. Then again, it may be a bad idea against buster art since there's that chance where you may **** it up and take 50-70% damage in 3-4 seconds. Honestly, I feel like you're better off with bait and punishment since Shulk's attacks are punishable because of the end lag on his attacks

Just my ideas on dealing with Shulk as Greninja at mid-range

And also, no problem if this helps ;)

Also unrelated but my phone auto corrected Lucina. Interesting...
