So I tried the alpha of rising thunder (that robot game they showed at evo) and its actually better than I thought it would be. The online play actually worked and it was stable (it was actually better than some smash matches I've had).

Its really beginner friendly since each character has only 3 special moves which each have their own button (no special inputs needed) with cooldown times (like a moba) and then their 3 normal attacks (weak, medium, strong). Throws and ultras also have their own button so there isn't much input needed and its more about you being able to react to your opponent (kind of like smash, I guess?)

The characters are also pretty cool.

its super precise (but then again so is everything Zelda does, am i rite sisters), and only works on most characters if Zelda has enough rage to make a hard knockdown with fastfall nair. however with it works at Zero Percent. and it can go to death if they keep missing techs

Doesn't work on Mewtwo or Jiggly IIRC. You get hard knockdown but they can act out of it after the first bounce. Dsmash is guaranteed on them though so that's cool

It wouldn't irritate me as much if they didn't spread misinformation about her. Someone said she has KO setups at 60% (which she does) but then someone else said "oh but a lot of characters have low % KO moves like Warlock Punch and Roy's charged Flare Blade."

Nah there's definitely still a ton of people who thik Customs are broken or w/e but I'm not one of them and there is literally no point having the discussion in a thread with the majority disagreeing with them ob things that are already subjective anyway. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how amazing Cackletta's theme (from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga) is?

Let's get this out of the way: it's a fugue, which is a sort of song where a countermelody plays along with the base melody. They're tricky to get right and rare in video games. Second, its instrumentation is of an organ, whichl gives it a very classical feel. The song is very ominous, yet refined, perfect for a villain like Cackletta. Basically the song is beautiful and it needs more attention.
