Doesn't Dedede's ability allow you to regain more health than Kirby's inhale?

Yes, it does. The problem is that
- Kirby's Inhale takes forever to come out
- Dededes have a habit of popping out of you directly after they've been Inhaled which means you need to Inhale them again
- Dedede's Inhale has no range when eating food
- You can still inhale other Dededes

Probably not.

I just realized that I prefer playing clones or derived characters - as in characters like Ike, Wolf, Lucas, and Smash 4 Roy to Marth/Roy, Fox, and Ness - more than the originals: Ganondorf, Ike, Lucas, Dr. Mario, Luigi, Toon Link, Lucina, and Smash 4 Roy. The only exceptions to this rule would be Pit since Dark Pit's eh and Fox - I like all of the Star Fox characters, but Wolf's that much visceral, Falco feels challenging in a good way, and Fox feels like a good character to pick up and unwind - and Captain Falcon, but Captain Falcon feels much more different than Ganondorf compared to say, Dr. Mario and Mario or Link and Toon Link.
