Noobs will miss out on a good recovery because they can't input dp properly. They'll die be sneezing at them off stage lml.

Hadokens clank with Luigi's F-balls dunno about his Fireball i imagine it beats out more things due to rewarding the player for inputting it properly.

So FG noobs will be using a poor mans Ryu and vote him down on Eventhubs.
FG will be a wonderful place to gather salt when :4ryu: is released

So are Ryu's other inputs for his specials completely different moves? Or just straightout better versions of the ones with regular inputs?

Sorry Macchi I'm too busy hyping over Roy LOL. Doesn't really matter tho since Phil is playing you now anyway
they're just better I beleive

Ryu is really looking top tier in this game now. Up-B being invicible while going up make his vertical recovery really good and he can use the spinning kick for recovery too, though apparently you can only use it once in mid-air so if someone smacks Ryu after it he'll be forced to rely only on the shoryuken to recover.

I'm calling it now:

Ryu: Top tier

Lucas: Mid, high mid

Roy: Mid.

All this awesome Kirby music being added aaaaagh. And I'm glad Roy is a semi clone now. I'm gonna use him since his voice doesn't sound awful now.

Well, what is Ness ranked on the tier list? Isn't he high tier or something? I figure at the very least that Lucas will be one or two spots lower/higher than Ness, their MU spread isn't going to be much different honestly since while they have diff. tools, they still have similar moves and such. I figure Lucas will be low high at least.

Ryu is probably gonna be top 20 at least, although i dunno about Top tier. He's looking to be really good, but i don't know if he's that good that he can stand against the likes of Sheik just yet. Definitely High tier at the very least.

I have no opinion on Roy as of yet however.

Better and technically, you have access to three different Haduokens: regular, Hadouken input, and the red fireball one. From the link, apparently, if you do the input, Ryu glides back sort of like Mewtwo and Samus. Shoryuken becomes invincible and it said no recovery after you land. So, basically, everything is better, but I think there might be things like regular Hadouken's distance can be controlled, but the input can't. I don't know and I only glanced at his stuff. In theory, Ryu could potentially be the most powerful character since he functions like in Street Fighter, but you have to hit with his moves like the tips say. So, if you Down Smash, you have to hit or else suffer end lag. At the same time, it said you can only cancel into a Special like Hadouken or Shoryuken.

The things that go against him is that he's technical and he's tall. After that, fall speed, air speed, I have no idea. Hell, he might have low damage per hit like Sheik except for some moves like Side Smash which is slow meaning Ryu has to play on point like Sheik. His air game probably isn't going to be fantastic since Street Fighter doesn't have the air game like in Smash, especially Melee where Marth comboed the hell out of you.

I don't think you'll be able to spam fireballs that much.
Watching the gameplay it seems like if you do it too fast/often then the fireball doesn't come out.
Maybe you can only have one on screen at a time?

Also, on the omega stage you can break the signposts in the background.
I love that they put in stuff like interacting with the background.

I'm pretty sure you can only have one hadouken out. The guy playing Ryu tried to do two in a row and the second one didn't come out.

Are we really predicting tiers for characters that isn't out yet? Remember how we said M2 was mid yet he turned out to be booty butt ass cheeks?

The inputs for Shakunetsu and Shoryuken are easy AF on a GC controller, for Shakunetsu you literally roll your analog stick in a 'U' shape. The hard part is of course using it after heavy down attack.

I wonder what his playstyle will be like in this game, considering people can run away from you all the time.

Forgot about event hubs.

For good reason too.

FG Ryu players are gonna be Little Mac 2.0: they'll either be really good, or really bad.

Also wouldn't surprise me to see Roy voted to the top on event hubs because neutral b spam among other things.

His fireball doesn't seem to do that much damage (6% iirc) and its pretty slow so it won't be that bad probably.

Also, if they can't do a proper fireball motion then they probably won't be able to do a proper dp motion either meaning they'll be stuck with a mac tier up b.

You guys and all your hype smh

Ryu is my SF2 main but I have a secret for you all.

I incorrectly pronounce it as "Rye-you" and I'm not ashamed, not even a little.

Its actually supposed to be one syllable but the english language doesn't have the sound for it so they use two syllables.

Eventhubs thinks Zelda is not bottom 3.

In fact they think 14 characters are worse than her.

Their list is irrelevant.

What's with me being interested in characters that suck in lag? My dumb luck i tell ya.

@ Jestar Jestar mfw avy

Nothing wrong with making a guess.
There's nothing wrong with it yes, but its still not a good idea to guess especially saying he's top tier just because you gotta input his moves like a SF game.

We don't know his playstyle, his neutral, his combo's even. Lucas and Roy you can get a good picture because we've seen their moveset in the past. That's just me though, i'll be gushing over Ryu until i actually get him.
like regular Hadouken's distance can be controlled, but the input can't.
From what i know you cannot control the distance only the speed.
After that, fall speed, air speed, I have no idea.
Don't know about his airspeed overall but his horizontal speed is fast i thought the guy had some equipment on for a sec. Never seen Ryu go this fast before.
Hell, he might have low damage per hit like Sheik except for some moves like Side Smash which is slow meaning Ryu has to play on point like Sheik.
His back throw does 12% fresh
One of his aerials did 12%
F-Smash does 16%
Dtilt does 8%(?)
Ftilt does 10%

Them muscles should indicate that he hits like a man.
His air game probably isn't going to be fantastic since Street Fighter doesn't have the air game like in Smash, especially Melee where Marth comboed the hell out of you.
His uair and fair sound stupid. :V

Up Air Attack

This uppercut hits the enemy twice and has a deceptively large range. It’s fairly easy to hit enemies directly over you.

Front Air Attack

Hitting an enemy with Ryu’s foot has higher launch power, while his upper leg is perfect for shield breaking. It’s a good move for combos.
Edit: You can also cancel his Down B by inputting a direction twice, the mindgames is real with this ****.

I meant good as in good at the game. Even fanmade mods are afraid to give powerhouses too much viability.

But come to think of it, there are no villains of the speedster type.

Gonna put down Smash at home and exclusively play SFIV in my free time. (Too bad 3DS though...)

Also, just like Marth, sourspots and "bad" inputs lead to things. "Noob" Shoryu to the ledge, ledge drop DJ SF Shoryu kill combo where SF Shoryu>SF Shoryu won't kill.

Oh my god. I want him now. God dammit Nintendo.

Wait. Are we getting him and Roy the same day as Lucas?
