ven was too late to semifinals we don't know where he went
HNRP disqualified himself due to "life"
seki just didn't care, he said it was ok if we dq'd him

For some reason I couldn't connect to SWF earlier in the day. Oh well... at least it's working now.

Congrats to @ FullMoon FullMoon for winning the Zelda Social tournament. Hopefully, I could enter next time but internet and lack of Wii U is holding me back.

Gorls, next time I think we should just do it so that it's all in one afternoon.
First, that would be impossible, judging by how long top 8 took; and that really couldn't be sped up that much from that.

Second, July 1st?! The 3DS one isn't even done can someone plz actually not pay it dust cri.

Also, you really want to push another tourney so soon when all you did was 'troll with troll custom chars' and smack talk it for being laggy and long?

So when we have a permanent place for the tourney standings. (Hex, maybe the op of this or the next Zelda social.) this GIF MUST be the "Photo" at the top under the title lmao.

Edit : OMG did anyone else notice Greninja falls asleep for a split second before being hit!

Huh, you moved pretty far left while in the laser.

I get the feeling that could probably be SDI'd out of completely.

I was trying to get out of it like crazy but couldn't.

Which actually reminds me, what's the difference between SDI and regular DI?

DI changes the launch angle

SDI changes the exact launch point. (By shifting you in a direction each frame during hit-stun.) Albeit only a tiny amount in most cases in SSB4.

Wait, here:

I also remind people to play their matches but I couldn't do much since the Chatzy was always full

Oh, all right then, thanks.

Oh wow I totally didn't notice

Makes sense since Greninja stretches his arm for the F-Smash but man I would be so upset if my attack was cancelled by Sing.

:4greninja:'d by BJN but oh well I'm posting it anyway

DI alters the launch angle by holding left/right, and in Smash 4 the knockback strength by holding up/down while launched after hitstop.

SDI is moving while in hitstop by tapping in a (cardinal?) direction. I think the optimal way to SDI in this game is to wiggle back and forth over a direction (Quarter circle SDI, I believe it's called?)

This gif involves SDIing down+inward, then DIing inward to tech off the stage:

This compares DIing inward against a drill to repeatedly SDIing:

The sad thing about that tournament was that I placed 7th when I got 2 byes in a row (with scores of 420 and 9000) and my top 8 matches were atrocious. I'm really not THAT bad, but I'm one of the newer people here and I did alright. I was the luckiest person in the tournament really (before that Din's Fire offstage and it was clear I wasn't trying the next match at all) but I would've rather let someone else win than see myself go farther like I did haha... Which ended up happening.

Other people's happiness and satisfaction > mine. :bubblebobble:

Petitioning that we should have another Zelda social tourney one day, and the entire tourney would be done in 1-2 days because lol timezones

It would probably be easier to grab people who will be free for just 1-2 days rather than drag it on for a whole month just to try and rush and finish everything in one day and have people DQ'd because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Plus I didn't make the last one so I need my fix. :^(

Have you girls heard of the new Netflix show Sense8?

I wasn't going to watch it when I saw the trailer but after seeing some of the reviews by homophobes and transphobes, I decided to give it a try.

Only 2 out of the 8 main characters are queer - one gay man and one lesbian trans woman - and that's apparently too much "gay" content.

I guess virtually every other TV show with only straight characters is pushing the heterosexual agenda even more aggressively.

But thank you bigots - without you, I wouldn't have given the show a try, and I'm enjoying it :secretkpop:

I think we did the whole flexible schedule thing to be as inclusive as possible. I guess a 1-2 day thing would work it's just that a lot of people wouldn't be able to do it.

If Lavani changes his avatar whenever someone says what it's from, I'll just reverse search each avatar of his and find out what it's from so he'll have change it every few minutes. :secretkpop:

Maybe stretch it over a week?

That way it can be more accommodating but isn't as unreasonable as a month lol.

It's an ironic way of thinking because in the end we still had to DQ people today because we wanted to finish it and it so happened that people were not so free today to do their tourney matches.

What one person in my region did when he organized online tourneys was that he would allow like a day or two to do their match in round 1, then etc for the rest of the rounds, but that does drag on for a long time and there's always that trouble person that joins despite being busy all the time and can't do their match lol.

If anything a 1-2 day tourney is easy to set up, organize, and respectful for all participants so they don't have to wait on tardy people or forcefully DQ people.

I know I'm one of the people that dragged the whole thing on but yeah, 1-2 days is usually best for a tournament. It keeps it fresh in everyone's head and lets them know if they can commit for the duration of it or not since the timing is precise. It's also generally more hype than something like starting round 1 in 2015 and finishing in 2017 like this one was.
