While youtube.com is a great source of information, music, and entertainment, I believe the average IQ of youtubers are much below that of monkeys(and I'm giving them extra credit).

I myself being a youtuber, I've seen amazing videos flamed and stomped on. I've also seen horrible videos receive praise bordering on worship(chocolate rain??? o_o).

If you want a good laugh, I suggest reading the comments underneath the "intellectual" youtube videos. There is usually one informed person fighting against hordes of zombies. Of course, this informed person must not be so well informed, due to the fact that he/she is attempting to hold a debate in the comments section. I can't do it justice if I quote the comments... go look yourself.

Oh I also forgot the wonderful medley of racism, sexism, fanaticism, and insulting comments.

Having said all this, there are the few sane ones that try to keep order around. I also hate to admit it, but its GOD **** ENTERTAINING TO READ! It really is pretty fun to read things like the comment section sometimes... check it out!

You can learn a lot from youtube! Even from the brainless comments and conspiracy videos. It shows how paranoia and misinformation begins and spreads. It allows you to see the world from someone else's viewpoint. You can almost feel WHY these people make these videos.

So I leave you with this: use, use, and use your brains again people! I'm not asking you all to be geniuses(I'm not myself), but please at least USE your brain. Reclaim my faith in the common people! Reclaim my faith in the internet!

Yah, Youtubes community is very horrid. It's all trolls and idiots. And the idiots are usually trolls so it's just trolls.


There are a few good people you can reach out to who may not seem all too smart or whatever don't constantly flame trying to start a pointless debate or whatever the hell you call those youtube discussions.

Indeed there are some smart ones in there... but it's like finding a needle in a haystack. :S

I have a firefox addon that blocks comments that use certain words. Mine blocks use of "lol" used more than 3 times in a single comment, certain words used in excess, comments with certain thumbs down ratings, and ones with bad grammar/spelling.

I'm either trying to put an *** hole in like or complimenting the maker of the video.

If I thought the video was bad I just rate it low, enough said.

I usually gawk at the stupidity of the people whom make the horrible flaming comments. Only because they aren't using their brain in the least.

I prefer intelligent people, makes me feel at home unless they get into something that is way out of my league (by my personal standards).
