From plays to non.

Harry Waters: In Bruges
Minotaur: Tekkonkinkreet
Lady Eboshi: Princess Nacasaci
MacBeth and Lady MacBeth: MacBeth

I'm actually a bigger fan of internal conflict, so making this list is difficult for me to do, but if I had to make one, this would be it.
Harry Waters is just so perfect, he has a recognizable flaw taken to an extreme (pride), is not oversaturated but used only where necessary in the movie, we don't even see his face until over half way through, and that 1/3rd of the movie when he is there he leaves a defining impression.

Minotaur is the personification of internal conflict.

Lady Eboshi I found really interesting because she caused internal conflict for myself. Her actions seem so deplorable, and have caused so much misfortune, and it was her intent to cause this misfortune, but she does this all to help and save those without anywhere else to go.

Then the MacBeth's, OH! The MacBeths, such wonderfully crafted characters. There in burning desires, pride, guilt, fear, I honestly couldn't think of a better villain.

Really, making this list made me realize how much more I prefer Inner conflict to a definable antagonist. I had a lot of trouble picking out many character villains that left a mark on me.

Teh Joker. From Batman.
This villain is insane, evil, cunning, epic, has the coolest laugh ever, is better with a knife than a gun (i like ahrp pointy things better than guns :p), and has a snazzy suit.

My favorite was the one from the tv shows (Mark Hamill). Mark Hamill as the Joker was amazing. He pretty much defined how i thought the Joker should be like. Plus his laugh fit the Joker perfectly.

Hm. . . that's something that is really hard to decide on. . .

I guess I'll have to go with:

King Claudius in Hamlet.
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.
Kefka in FFVI
The OoT and WW Ganondorf, and both for completely opposite reasons of each other.
HAL in 2001.
Any and all of the Catch-22 villains. Special mention is to be made towards General Dreedle, Captain Black, and Milo Minderbinder.

EDIT: The joker, definitely, I can't believe I forgot about him.

As overused as the joker has become nowadays, he's def one of the best.
When Vegeta has to decide whether or not to sacrifice his life and kill Majin Buu. I cried.
lmao this.

same with zabuza's death scene in earlier in the naruto series ;___;

Oooh, if we're talking about villians that made us cry, my long time avatar Anemone from Eureka 7. God the series made you hate her, only showing snipits of this psychopathic woman seemingly desperate for power. Then you find out about the tragedies of her past, and of her life now, and on episode 48 when you she's crying, talking to herself about how she missed her chance with Domonic, and how she'll practice faking a smile so she could have the confidence to see him, all the while we just saw this guy die a few seconds earlier, unbeknown to her, well **** man, I just can't take it, I cry every time.

As a side note, this story makes an awesome deterrent to women who I don't want anything to do with.

Actually, the antagonist of Gungrave really gets to you. Intentionally vague to avoid spoilers. Go watch it.

"Hey Butthead! Why don't you make like a tree...AND GET OUT OF HERE?"

If you don't know what bad*ss villain said that, this is what you need to do. Get out of the rock you live under, go to a local video store and say that you've never seen Back to the Future. Then you'll know.
