10: Duckhunt(NES)
This was a good, but tricky game that is addictive for hours of play.
9: Earthbound(SNES)
This is probably the best RPG I have ever played. It is the only RPG that doesen't involve that "dungeons and dragons" feel.
8: Super mario sunshine(Gamecube)
This was a great game, the coolest feature is the FLUDD water pack.
7: Super mario 64(N64)
There is a huge debate over whether sunshine or 64 is the better 3D mario game, but personally, I like 64 slightly better.
6: NiGHTS into dreams(saturn)
This was possibly the best game made for the saturn. I liked flying around mindlessly just for fun sometimes.
5: Metroid prime 3(Wii)
I like this game a lot. Especially blowing stuff up with the big weapons! BOOM BOOM!
4: Sonic heroes(Gamecube, playstation 2, etc.)
This was a very good game with lots of playable characters.
3: The legend of zelda: the phantom hourglass(Nintendo DS)
The best DS game made. Enough said.
2: Zelda: ocarina of time (N64)
They say this is the best game in the world.
1: Super smash bros. melee(Gamecube)
The best game ever made... at least until brawl is released.

Wow, I find it kinda funny that so many people have Melee at #1 or #2 on their list. I really didn't find it that great(well, it is great, but not godly), due to almost no single player replay value after you unlocked everything. Brawl will change that though, with Wifi and the Subspace Emissary.

Pro: Tons of play time!
Con: Need both versions to collect all of the pokemon.
No other Pokemon game has captivated me as Gold has. This was the pinnacle of Pokemon's success.

9) Pikmin 2 (2004)

Pro: Extremely diverse gameplay.
Con: Can get slow at times.
An extremely fun game overall, I recommend it!

8) Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997)

Pro: One of the best platformers to date.
Con: Jetpack levels.
I love the polar bear levels best!

7) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (1997)

Pro: Dozens of ways to complete the game.
Con: Just a tad easy.
A game nobody should ever be without. Ever.

6) Kirby Super Star

Pro: Multiple games to suit everyone's fancy.
Con: Some of the games seem gimmicky.
Love this game, and can't wait for the remake on the DS.

5) Megaman Legends (1997,1998)

Pro: Amazingly high quality game for its' time.
Con: Was discontinued, leaving a vastly incomplete story.
One of my favorite games ever, hope MML3 come out soon!

4) Super Smash Bros. Melee (2001, 2002)

Pro: Best fighting game ever!
Con: Pichu.
Come on, this needs no explanation!

3) Final Fantasy X (2001, 2002)

Pro: Best story I've ever heard.
Con: Guadosalam is HELL during replays.
Best Final Fantasy game ever.

2) Shadow of the Colossus (2005, 2006)

Pro: Everything.
Con: Running over the breaking bridge took me AGES.
Get this game. NOW.

Pro: Amazingly fun.
Con: Can get easy. (Top Man? What a pushover.)

Super Mario 64

The number 10 spot was a hard one, but I finally settled upon Super Mario 64. What an amazing game this was. Second best 3D platformer ever.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Although not quite as good as Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess was still absolutely amazing. Clocking in at around 38-50 hours, its a truly amazing experience. Easily the best Wii game as of now.

Psychonauts

Super Mario 64 on acid.

Mind-boggling gameplay, great character development, and very funny writing make this the greatest 3D platformer EVER

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

My favorite DS game. Something about this game just immediately captured my attention. I could not put it down.

I've just acquired Dawn of Sorrow which I've heard is even better than Portrait of Ruin, so I'm really excited to play that.

Easily the best Final Fantasy game. Absolutely AMAZING music.

By far the best single player FPS ever made, Half-Life laid down the law for exactly what a First Person Shooter should be.

The best Castlevania game ever. What an amazing game this is. It also features a ridiculously awesome soundtrack comprised of mostly metal.
