As you can see in this picture, beside the person Friend Code, it says 3/64. Then, under the user's information, are his/her 3 friends.

Well really there's not much more to explain. I mean, it's kind of blunt.

Oh noez! I can't put all my friends on then! No really, I would be fine if we could only put like 5 people on. Most of my friends don't play smash. I think that 64 is enough for anyone....
Trust me, some people are going to want to add the entire competitive community.

Nintendo 64....64 Friends....CONNECTION?

Still, 64 is enough to have some free space, and friends, so im happy!

I'm a little worried about the 64 size limmit, but I'm hopeing I can squeeze everyone I would like to in. But I'm sure as you add, you figure out who is worth having on the list and who isn't. You could build a system of 64 killer friends to play against.

Yeah, the limit of 64 is really iffy, but as oxyborb said, make more profiles! Sure, it'd be a bit more of a hassle but there is really no problem here. I'm mostly intrigued by all the things that you can do with friends that you can't do with random matches, personally.

I think it's more like the guy had 64 friends, and he could only pick 3 to battle w/. adding himself that makes... wut do ya know, 4 players! the maximum # of players that could be in 1 match since the bigeining! well, i think if there is a friend limmit, it might be closer to 100. (but i can see why 64 makes so much since to everybody...)

yo, only 64 sucks. at first, it might sound just fine, like oh snap 64 smashers. but in retrospect, its kinda low, seeing how there are going to be challenges upon challenges being made on smashborads and you are going to have to add them to your friends. you can have 100 friends in halo 1 and everyone still ran out of spaces for more peepz...peace

Let's not forget that it could stand for page 3 out of 64 as well, with three friends per page.
Nah it says 3/64 behind "enter friend code" so you can only add 64 friend codes. Yeah more would be way better. But I think if you really want to add someone, there will always be one to delete. I'll just save those in a word doc. Obviously there will be plenty of friendcode + location + fav. character + skill threads/tables so.

Did you ever think that each PAGE can fit THREE friends? If so then it's actually 3 x 64 which is actually 192.

Or you could just delete some older challengers/friends. Update your friends roster every week or so, and you'll be fine. :)

why would anyone make a page with only three entries? doesn't sound space effective at all.

I dont have very many friends anyway, mostly, it'll be me begging people like linguini and gimpyfish to schedule a couple friendly matches with me somewhere next month, if their tight match agenda allows it :p

This is how much Mario Kart DS had, and is the most any Nintenhdo Wifi game has offered. A plus for Sakurai doing this. Now we can add lots of people.

Two things.

1) This is enough for me. It was enough for me when I played MKDS and I never truly filled it up in the end (over my time of playing it anyway). 64 is enough people for me.

2) Ever thought that it's 64 because they're going to have a Tournament mode online...? So if you do the 64 people set up all your friends (if all 64 are on...) can join it. That's my logic behind that choice anyway...=\

I think that 64 players will be more than enough for you to be able to challenge. I know only 3 people in RL who have Wiis, and I'll be using all my other slots for challengers from the boards here if I can meet enough people. Who really needs to play against more than 64 different people? (plus the people that play on your system in your apartment or mom's basement, who don't have wii codes)

Chill out man.

And I was thinking... 64 isn't a problem...

the problem is: you add a SWF member, then another and another, etc. But after that, them won't add you, so you're occupying a space with an abstract player.

So there must be some kind of way to see if them have you or not, and it must refresh the list automatically. Suppose someone deletes you, It's the same as I stated before.

Right behind you. seriously!
and? that would be bad if smash bros had a multiplayer that could withstand 64 players at a time, so you wouldn't want to play against the same guys every time, but brawl is a 4 player game. there are plenty of spots available for a 4 player game. and if you want to add someone else, take off someone who never comes on.

If you plan on adding the ENTIRE competitive community here on SWF, then maybe, MAYBE you'll run into limit problems. But as for me, who only has a handful of friends who play Smash and even fewer who have Wiis, 64 is a truck-load and a half of space. Much more than I'll need. Maybe I'll get some people from the Ridley, Sonic, and Krystal threads, but apart from that I'll largely be adding my real life friends.

That a lot of space for me, considering I don't even have 20 people I'll be able to play against [who's gonna add some random guy that will probably have bad lag anyway?], but at the same time I'd like to be able to have more if anything happens. I wonder why it's so small...

Attempting to keep this thread civil, good find. Also, something else of interest. Notice bill has a 1/4 next to his name. Does this mean he intended to play a 4 player game and that you can pick 1 vs 1, 1 vs 2, 3 everyone for themselves, and 2 vs 2. The others dont have that though.....hmm.
