Yoshi Online Friendlies Thread

Hey there, folks. I've seen similar threads on other character forums, so I figure it'd go ahead and give it a shot in this forum as well.

Essentially, the purpose this thread will serve is to allow people in the Yoshi forums to call out whenever they feel like having a friendly match online. This can go for the both usual Yoshi mainers, such as myself, or anyone else who ends up passing by. Users discussing match-ups in the match-up thread and also try to work out their..."problems"...here as well, if they so choose.

I know that we do have the Yoshi Rankings thread for some online play, but this thread is more for the purpose of friendly matches rather than anything competitive. Additionally, I also know playing over Wifi isn't the best thing in the world, but hey, if you have time to kill, it's worth doing anyways. This is just for fun after all.

I suppose I'm kind of new, in the sense that I rarely ever post. Let's just say I take Rule 33 of the Internet (Lurk more - it's never enough) quite literally. ^^;

In any case, I made this topic in part to help out some of the new Yoshi players that have been showing up and will show up in the future. Since it's sometimes rather difficult to break into a community like this when you're new, I felt this would be a good way to meet people. If it doesn't work out because many of the Yoshi players don't like Wifi too much, it's very understandable, and no big deal at all. I figured it was at least worth a shot.

Wi-Fi sucks. I am never gonna play online again, so much lag. I live so far away from actual players, so I tried playing online again, and all my rythym was thrown out. When I wanted to tilt, I smashed. When I wanted to nair, I fair'd. It's a shame because I would actually like to face you guys but I guess Wi-Fi is not for me.

Wi-Fi is really the only experience I can get outside of tourneys, however. No one I know plays games; they still think it's for nerds only. =/

this is an interesting idea, unlike many other yoshi mainers i actually like Dittos
Wi-Fi doesnt bother me unless theres an unberable lag, or like a 1 second delay each every 5 seconds
cause it screws up my rythim other than that small lag spikes that happen once in the game
or a two time button delay does not bother nor do i consider that kind of speed as a john of lag

so if anyone likes Yoshi dittos im the guy to fight, so put my name on the board list cause im probably
one of the few who enjoys Wi-Fi and Yoshi dittos ^_^
