yes, your computer is a piece of ****.....

.... now that i think about it, it may be a severe hardware problem.... the way that you describe it, it seems like your computer completely fails whenever it tries to start up normally.... if it never boots (or rarely boots), it may have a similar problem to what my crappy iMac G5 had, because my computer was working really well, slowly degraded, and eventually got to a point where it wouldn't start up at all.... my iMac had a couple of fried capacitors..... and possibly other burnt out stuff on the mobo....

If it ends up that your computer has such a terrible problem such as that, I'm actually considering finding a motherboard similar to (or of the same make) as yours currently, take out all the ram, expansion cards, CPU from the original, move everything over to the new one, and attempt to run your computer that way.... THEN wipe the HDD and reinstall XP...... (this process is taking much longer than i thought, and at this point it would be best to just buy new parts.... but knowing your financial situations, I'd be willing to help out.... if you would pay me back whenever it would be possible).

such serious problems either stem from serious abuse, a REAAAALLY bad virus, or failing hardware, and since I haven't been able to repair such problems by normal means, it seems I'm gonna need to step it up a notch...

OH, and to keep on topic....

I like everyone's avatars..... I don't want to take anyone else's though.... I will eventually get something more fitting than a cactuar (maybe Black Mage, dragoon (kain), or some self-created ness thing)
