So, I believe I made a thread for my vids quite some time ago but they are old and crappy so I have decided to make a new thread where (ideally) only good vids will be posted. I've gotten rather good with the captain falcon character but I'm always looking to improve my game.

I am open to any critique or comments people may have. Please no one liners like "you should do ____ more". I would prefer specific advice but will also accept props for, well, being good ;)

COMBO CLIPS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXG0ZO3mqfI -NEW! most of the combo clips aren't amazing or anything but there's some decent stuff in there.

Without further ado, here is the first of many to come....

What more can I say about my hero other than you're amazing. But I'll say more anyways lol

GRAB THE ****lNG LEDGE ADAM BROWN. That **** cost you some stocks and even first game against Eric.

You seem to DJ a lot which is risky against Falco since you're practically dead without a second jump. But you seem to be mainly doing this when tech chasing so it's not as bad. You just have to be careful when using essentially YOUR LIFE LINE against the **** lazers and Falco's stupid dair. It's a bad habit for me as well, but sometimes it pays off when you bait their spot dodges with it.

In your Dream Land match, I noticed that you started using dair out of shield quite a bit. This is pretty good when your opponent isn't expecting it or against intermediate Falco players. It's a bit risky when doing it against such a high level Falco like Eric, but you seemed to sense choke and it payed off.

Eric didn't do it all the time, but when he LHDLs, you seemed to try to jump over it and then knee him. It works, but sometimes the lazers hit you and it turns into a shine. What's cool is that you can actually CC the first lazer and gentleman him coz by then his invincibility frames will be over, taking away his second jump and turning into an easy edgehog kill.

You don't listen to me though, I'm pretty bad at this game.

You're getting good at tech chasing. EVEN TECH CHASE THE GUY IN MID AIR

Tsk that FD match.. It could of been win with a roll at the end. Learn your distance for rolling on the edge. (I have to learn too =P) Stay cool. Umm.. other than that, good techchases and combos.. and also learn to SDI those shines, you get damaged more for not doing it. If you do, you are going to force Falco to restart Lasers or make him guess which is very good.

Yoshis, don't jump out of shield so much i don't think, mix it up.. WD out of shield is good, I'm not sure what Falcon has out of shield but that seems safer vs Falco. Depending on where he's at, WD forward or backwards. Also, I think it's a bad CP lol. And that freaking ledge, grab it! =P

Also in general, you can mix up moves after a shine, you don't always have to jump after a shine.. I have that habit too but I'm trying to fix it as well.. It could be good or bad.. it's a guessing game. Also again, be more patient with techchases =P lol. Pretty much what I have to say.

Edit: I personally think Falcon vs Falco is better for Falcon on larger stages since Falcon needs that maneuverability. He moves faster than Falco with his fastfall and all that I think, except his moves of course but you know. =P You wanted critique so I'm going to give it. lol.

good set. Glad to see that it's not 1-sided or anything. I'm not a pro or anything, but here's my 2 cents (though you probably know the advice that I'm about to give):

- You need to kill out of single hits (easier said than done), but almost all of the pro falcons kill spacies out of a single hit a decent amount of times. Try to re-grab tech chase more often, so that you can make an educated guess when trying to tech chase with d-air / knee / raptor boost. Try to trap them at the edge when tech chasing, since it's obviously easier to tech chase when you can cover all of their options.

- Gentlemen as an alternative to shielding. You never want to be shielding as falcon, so you can CC his moves (other than d-air, shine, and laser depending) and gentlemen. You can also do it to cover yourself when you whiff an aerial and are about to get punished. You can also sometimes get a combo, edgeguard set up, or tech chase off of it. Also, if he does a LHDL (just read Get@Will's post. My bad), you can take the first laser and gentlemen him before he can shoot the second laser. If he does survival DI, he probably won't get his jump back.

Also, using it on shield is alright sometimes.

- use u-air more. Hitbox is amazing, and I don't see you using it enough.

- EDGEGUARDING. You miss a lot of easy edgeguards that are gift-wrapped for you. Falcon's b-air is amazing at all times for edgeguarding. Even if you need to jump really far out with your back turned.

- rolling's bad, but roll away if you need to. Falco's pretty slow-moving, but will mess you up when you roll into him. As falcon against falco, you shouldn't even be shielding, but the times you absolutely have to, then roll or WD backwards from your shield if you can. U-air OoS is good sometimes as well, but I wouldn't count on it.

- One random thing is SHing over shine. If you succeed, you get a free d-air. I see a lot of falcon players get it randomly, and I sometimes get it myself.

doubling everything unknown said, good advice

plus reaffirming kage's WD out of shield suggestion, thats amazing vs falco and often confuses the hell out of him

in the yoshis story match, i thought you were gonna do this but you backed off, when you knock him off the stage and you know hes got to up b from below, go hit him out of it when hes charging it up for a gimp. either go down under him and double jump uair or weak knee or something, but take advantage of the fact that you know hes going to sit there charging for a minute

play around on platforms more so that falco jumps higher more often. bait him into doing the full jump lasers then book it under him for an uair

you called that roll away from the edge with the stomp in the first match, then in a lot of similar situations in following matches you didnt predict that. something like that is an instinctive defensive move that players make a lot; learn to recognize different things like that and be ready to punish that whenever they are in that situation.

you were really solid overall, thats why i picked such specific situations to comment on

i just picked a few things that you certainly seem capable of doing but might not have given much thought to. if you get a better handle on what falcos options are in different defensive situations, especially recovery, then a lot of times that he was off the edge in those matches will turn into times that you get a ko

I need to play you more, our matches were fun to me... maybe not to you
I don't think you seemed like a floaty johner though. Besides, I play her pretty aggresively.
