Do you think it could ever happen? Sony has the PSP and soon releasing the PSP Go, Nintendo had the gameboy and now has the DS, what about Microsoft? Will it ever happen? Personally I think YES, but not anytime soon. Sony released the PSP between the PS2 and PS3(well a little before that but...) Nintendo released the GameBoy 4 years after the NES. When will Xbox have a handheld?

My Conclusion: There will be an Xbox portable...in time. The Playstation has been around since 1995. Nintendo videogames have been around since the late 1970s. Xbox has only been around since 2001. So the other consoles are a little ahead. But right now Microsoft is working on Project Natal and after that they will probably get to the Xbox Portable so it can be ready in time for the next generation of consoles which would be around 2012.

The PSP is awful, no, microsoft shouldn't make a portable machine, they do lots of shooters/stuff that doesn't work on a portable scale.

Not to mention it takes something pretty spectacular to oust Nintendo from the handheld market.

It was never really the only home console company, but there is only one portable gaming system that everyone knows of. Everyone and their mother had a Game Boy, the DS is proving just as successful.

No mate, we're basically not going to see anyone challenge Nintendo for a good while, it's basically a disaster waiting to happen. Also, we're in a global recession. Not a good idea to be releasing shiny new gizmos like this.

Also, no one is going to be helped by your other blog, those kinds of tips have been around literally for years, and when people think of what to type on google search for help, SWF user blogs does not pop up in ANYONE'S head.

No debate about 2012 LOL.
i just felt like posting something absolutely irrelevant and stupid.

In any case, Xbox portable would just suck so bad...

Well maybe, but they wouldn't have to go the same route as PSP. They could do something similar to what nintendo is doing, except come up with their own "special" gimick for their system to attract people to it. Although that would require them to think of completely new games which would prolong the development of the system even further. So, really, I don't see this ever happening, and if they do it'll be some copy of PSP, which will turn out awful but people will still buy it because it's xbox.

Ha! If Nintendo ever starts losing the handheld war, I'm selling all my stocks. Nintendo's been dominating the market for over two decades.

IF Microsoft makes a portable gameing system (and that is a BIG if), it will probably be a bit more technological just like the 360. BUT it will probably have a bunch of things happening to it after they release it, just like the 360. I think they will go to far, and put to much in flashy technology and risk loseing any kind of reliability the system could have. And the reason why Nintendo has been beating everyone else is because there systems DON'T BREAK. There gameing systems can take a beating and still work. Microsoft hasn't been doing so well in that department. Even the more reliable XBox had more problems than GameCube. So IF they do make a portable system, I'll wait and see how the public responds to it. Hopefully it won't have many problems..... But most likely they will, and the public will lose their trust in Microsoft even more..... I'm just glad my 360 hasn't got infected with the "Three Rings of Death"......

If Microsoft made a handheld it would just go critical every time you tried to install something new on it. or play a game, or check your mail.

Hahaha, good one man. I thought you were serious for a second.
Because obviously the Aztecs/other groups that made that prediction were of sound mind and didn't get ****ed over by disease and stuff at all.
They didn't predict this, they just didn't continue their calender any further. Why would anyone want a calender more than a thousand years into the future?
