Would a demo stop making you play Melee?

If I ever got my hands on a demo, I'd start practicing in Brawl, not Melee, so I know how the game has changed before I take a step into online matches.

Yeah, I'd stop playing melee, even if its two min matches, we'd still end up spamming youtube with videos of our sweet combos etc.
I'd only stop if they had a few new characters (preferebly Ike), and atleast 4 stages.

Also, why wouldn't they add multiplayer!? That would be pointless, if they added CPU support, they'd have no choice but to add multiplayer...

I just finished a five hour session of melee with my friends.

All players as Captain Falcon on Mute City spamming nothing but B-Moves and SHOW ME YOUR MOVES?

That's something a demo would likely not be able to deliver.

There is no way that they would make a demo good enough to stop playing melee. I probably would end up playing a lot of brawl just to test the gameplay and mess around with the characters. It would probably end up being the same demo we've been seeing.

Be like Halo 3 beta. If you have halo 3 beta, you playing that until halo 3. No halo 2 4U.

I won't stop playing Melee even when Brawl in its fullest comes out! Just like I still play SSB for the Nintendo 64, Melee will still have its charm.

there are still melee tournaments planned for a few months. no one would stop playing melee for awhile. I expect even when brawl comes out, people will still play melee from time to time.
