Booster you try to play the martyr by saying you're being punished for your opinions but when someone disagrees with you all you can do is screech at them it's a little offputting is all I'm saying.

The DS port of Siberia is pretty terrible
The DS port of anything is usually terrible :(

Same with 3DS. Who thought it would be a good idea to take Street Fighter 4, a game made on a much more powerful console and put it onto a much weaker system? That would be like trying to get Final Fantasy 10 to run on the SNES FX Chip.

I actually quite enjoyed Street Fighter 4 3D Edition, and I used to be an avid console SSF4 player. The online was kinda spammy, but give a kid a button that says "shoot this at the other guy", give him easy access to it, and what can you expect? It worked otherwise, looked decent for a 3DS launch title, and had nifty little bonuses.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a number of Dreamcast games ported the 3DS, mostly because both consoles have the same exact amount of buttons. Plus I would love portable SA1/2. I know both games aged like crap but that's still my childhood.

Enough with the frickin Street Fighter 4!
Who the **** are you exactly? A Street Fighter 4 worshipper or...oh no one of those people who helped to ruin the Online of every Capcom fighting game?!?!

I'm going to pull a plot twist and say God Hand is the best "obscure" game I've played. It's so damn good.

No, one of those who think there are too many Street Fighter 4s.
Ohh sorry, I assumed you were flaming me for my opinion. I'm sick of Street Fighter, it hasn't been good in years. The 4th game took so long to make only to have AI that punishes you for not being able to pull off some magic bull****, even on easy the AI is relentless and how about the Online? The Online is even worse, full of the same assholes from Marvel vs Capcom 3 Online who spam Sentinel and Zero

Street Fighter's bots have always been made of incredible hax. Really, the fun of the game comes from fighting other people and figuring out how to use your main to their best potential.

Not online, though. Online play sucks the fun out of everything /unpopular opinion

HOLY ****! THIS GUYS ARE LAZY! They are still better than Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde though.
Street Fighter is the Call of Duty of the 90s. They constantly kept releasing the same damn game over and over again with minimal changes but they still sold like hotcakes. If SF2 didn't have the almighty nostalgia barrier protecting it you sure as hell can bet people would treat it like a major problem instead of dismissing it as something charming. /ohlookanotherunpopularopinion

Nowadays the rehashes are uncommon as opposed to common place like with Street Fighter 2, which IMO is a much better game then 4 will ever be, no stupid hard to pull of combos and as a nice little touch if you beat your opponent hard enough they vomit or cough up blood and Blanka's reaction shots to gut shots are great! I say buy the HD version on XBL

The :awesome: face is my way of stating that I'm being facetious.

But I can appreciate that you only ask why I said it was obscure and not the other half :awesome:
I get why people wouldn't like Project M, and I assumed the smiley face was indicating "I know this is going to make people mad but I don't care" so the only thing left to question was the obscurity.

Silly me. :awesome:

Sort of half and half - I wasn't being fully serious, but I was aware I'd probably piss some people off (That's part of the fun, people not getting the joke and raging [although you were civil about it, which is much better to see than a post flaming someone] amuses me).

People wouldn't like PM for all the reasons people don't like video games, Smash games, or Melee. If they don't like those things for certain reasons, they won't like PM either (that said, people who don't like Melee because Kirby is bad can like PM, I'll give you that) [and this paragraph is also somewhat facetious, since I assume you actually meant "I don't get why people wouldn't like Project M if they like Smash games", and the only two reason I can think of are A) their character feels too changed or B) they feel like some characters are broken but they don't play those characters so they don't like the game].

That said, it's pretty much my bottom choice for Smash games if there are options - cheesing people with Lucario (or a sort of weird version of Link, or sometimes the randomly chosen character on a whim) that I can't beat in Melee with my Link or Falco is kind of nice, but I'd rather just get better at regular Melee (or Brawl or 64 or [soon to be] Smash 4). I can work on fundamentals and stuff in PM, but I can do that elsewhere too, and improve the games I will go to tournaments for instead of improving on the game I will enter in if there are other Smash games already there and the entry fee is not that high.

Kirby's only any fun in PM and Brawl because you can kill enemies with the hammer.

That's not what I meant. Darn typing unable to let us decipher tone of voice.

I'm pretty sure I've ranted about this before but we have more Blazblues and each new edition has less content and a ton of paid DLC. Street Fighter is low hanging fruit.

Honestly the situation with Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is worse then anything Street ****** 2 did, I've never seen so much DLC for a game and it's for costumes for depraved perverts who want videogame stripteases.

Wait, that series is still in existence?
Apparently so and it's pumping out more DLC then any other game I've ever seen. It's gotten an Ultimate release which claimed to have all the content, but then they release like 50 ****ing packs for the Ultimate Edition. There will be another Edition, but odds are it will get more packs.

Enjoy tightly revealing costumes, meanwhile I'll be enjoying my uncensored porno. Oh but wait, I'M the loser for looking at nudity, but people who play DoA for the tight clothes and boob physics aren't?

GET OUT!!!

Bubble Bobble Revolution. The kicker is that that game was my first. I guess that's what happens when you go through the bargain bin of K-Mart.
Why is it bad exactly? Well...
And this is just one of the many crappy glitches you'll come across. Though the NES port that came along with it was not awful.(Even if I could never beat the final boss. But such is life) I certainly enjoyed that more than the actual title.

Good lord, I can't finish that video, the music horrible and the crappy graphics don't help.

Did the developers ever play the original game? Well actually yeah they did, they had to to test out the NES port. So why was it made this way?

It wasn't. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but it's only the North American ports that got this glitch. Everyone else had it just fine. From what I remember however one could send it to the company and get it fixed.

They had one ****ing job...

Anyways just wondering how are the few levels that are playable? Is it like Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes where the game itself is superb but has more bad then good or is it like Ninja Bread Man where it's all bad?

Apart from a few glitches here and there (such as enemies self destructing and other levels where there's nothing at all), I liked it. It was pretty much what one would expect from a Bubble Bobble game. It's a shame that the bugs killed it for me.

So it's like Ground Zeroes. The graphics just look so unappealing and that music was painful on my ears. The graphics and music in the NES version looked and sounded appealing.

I'd like to know how MGSV GZ has bad graphics, please.
No, I'm talking about the fact that Bubble Bobble Revolution and Ground Zeroes have good gameplay, but something about them (Glitch for Bubble Bobble, Bad Value for Ground Zeroes) ruins the experience.

The Street Fighter ignorance to updates astounds me in this thread. You do know that these updates were all asked for by the FGC, right? You do know that besides Vanilla, SF4 updates are done through easy cheap DLC?

I don't see anything wrong if this is what the core audience wanted. We wanted balance updates and more veterans.

Most of the people who rag on Street Fighter don't actually play it and are just repeating jokes they've heard before.

Yeah. It's a little sad since while I don't like the current Capcom, how they handled SF4 was pretty good.

Lots of community involvement by asking for suggestions and taking feedback. I hope more Japanese companies do that.

I feel like this is how a lot of MMORPG haters are too. You'll find countless people who rag on the genre day and night but good luck finding a single person in their never-ending crusade against the genre who has put more than ten minutes into any of 'em.

I'm kinda glad that people migrated to MOBAs like LoL and DOTA2. Now that those games are all over the news a lot of the hate has died down. Now I can safely talk about World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online and the Final Fantasy MMOs without having someone derail the conversation into how soul-sucking the genre is and how its totally different from them dumping thousands of hours into whatever game they like.

You'll probably all hate me. Back in the day, I played The Secret of Monkey Island, and I loved it. I was 8 or something. 10? I don't know. Anyway, when the HD re-release came out, I was excited to finally play it again. But man, it's no fun. It's not funny to me, at all. The puzzles are completely obscure. You just walk around trying to figure out what to do. I played it for an hour or two and couldn't go on.

Oh yeah! Also Brink. Holy frack. I was SO looking forward to that game. But it taught me one of the most important lessons in hype: the later that marketing releases actual gameplay footage, the worse the game will be. Brink had basically no gameplay footage until it released, but I blindly trusted it would be awesome and spent like $50 day one. It was awful. So horrible. I cannot define why I disliked it so much. The player-base died in one week because it was a complete waste of time. I remember playing it and trying to identify what I disliked. But I literally couldn't bring myself to continue, to solve the conundrum. I seriously considered writing the publisher for a refund, but I wussed out.

Alternatively, Shattered Horizon, Lead and Gold, And Section 8: Prejudice were all excellent games. They died early deaths, though. Especially Prejudice, which was so much fun. And Lead and Gold had some of the best level design I've ever seen.
