will updating my Smash game corrupt my save file?

i am getting hesitant to update now...i haven't updated yet but a friend of mine told me if i update to the current version..my smash save file will get corrupted since it happend to him! o.o

is this really gonna happen if i update? i really don't wanna lose everything and start over..i really don't...

It's not updating it. Playing all star as Piranha Plant will, though.

Updating by itself will not.

Using the plant in Classic, all stars or some characters in century smash seems to be for some people.

Some speculate is it is only digital versions of the game as well.

If you even want to attempt it, I recommend doing a cloud back up save before you even try to use hose modes.
