Will there be dopplegangers in Brawl?

We have Dark Link

We have Dark Fox

We have a gothic Zelda

We even have the fallen angel form of Pit.

And though I don't have the pictures, we know from E for all, we have an evil looking metaknight and a black and gold bowser. Is this outbreak of darker toned costumes a part of Sakurai's plan for SSE or is he just expanding color options?

I think since everyone wanted "dark" color costume option, he added it. although it could play a role in SSE, who knows.

I thought they were merely color changes, not necessarily meant to be dopplegangers. But that dark link does look convincing. And a dark Peach from paper mario would be cool

But then you have your pure evil characters... like Ganondorf. How can you get any more dark than that?

But anyway, I'm actually pretty excited about the dark forms. Can't wait to see if this has to do with SSE.

Puppet Ganondorf or Ganon. Dark Ganaon... lol. I don't think a color change will make any signifigance to story mode. Man you guys are waay too speculation-based.

How about we put it this way? Something clones every aspect about a person except it screens out any traces of pure and unselfish desires. (thus, heroes such as pit would have weak dopplegangers but characters like Bowser would have strong ones)

More space on a wii disk, more and more options.

I think he did it for options to the players, which he stresses a lot.

In melee, even though you could not play dark link, he was in one of the events, if he wanted it in the SSE but not in multiplayer he could have done that instead.

I think that these dark alternate costumes are just for show and will have no story significance. Lets just hope Smash isn't going to become like Street Fighter or Tekien where everyone and their mother has an evil version of him/herself.
