No....I'm clearly saying the Wiimote (and all its accessories) are bad, old, and relies on a freaking sensor bar. Please understand.

...and that doesn't make the Wii U pro controller (or any other wireless controller) better - That just shows that the wiimote is worse.

To be perfectly honest, before you guys lock this thread, you guys have horribly skewed logic.
Especially those who refuse to play Sm4sh because they can't use a GC Controller on it.

How well did you cope going from Smash 64 to Melee?

This is coming from a guy who has played Smash successfully with a keyboard.

I think Melee will still strive, especially considering the people who follow the game like a religious cult and deplore everyone who disagrees with them to any degree.
I just personally think I will like Smash 4 a lot more. Many people personally think Melee is always god-tier smash game.

But I only talk to the people who think the games can coexist without some kind of weird superiority complex.

That doesn't say "hey guys, let's slander 64, Melee, and Brawl and proclaim a new game is better!"

It merely implies "will Smash 4's take away from Melee in terms of competitive exposure and attendance?"

And if it doesn't, then that's grounds for closing this thread, because any such thread goes against Smashboards rules, and the starter of this thread should expect infractions.

As much as I wanted to just say "It won't, end of thread." it really doesn't help your point when you do exactly the inverse of the bolded to the other side. Honestly John, if you can't get your point across without insulting people, don't bother "wasting" your precious time (and ours) here. Whether you're in the right/more experienced or not, that doesn't mean every single one of your posts has to be condescending, nor do you have to repeatedly resort to the "People are the dumbest creatures alive" card.

As for the rest of of the argument, and this goes for both sides, people liking or not liking your preferred poison doesn't mean you have to resort to flinging mud at each other (labeling others as ignorant, 4chan users/whatever, and most importantly posting that "This thread is derailed so I'll derail it more/just lock it already/LOL UR A TR0LL"). The last one especially gets irritating. You know that the thread is going downhill/to hell fast? Good for you, then DON'T POST IN IT/MAKE IT WORSE.
