Will Brawl get Delayed Again?

brawl was originally a launch title, then slated for December 3rd, 2007, then slated for Febuary 10th, 2008, and now is slated for March 9th, 2008. Something tells me Nintendo is god d*** overly biased for their little island. Nintendo isn't going to make as much money for a game sold in March compared to Febuary, and I hope they suffer saleswise. I'm gonna say we'll play Brawl sometime in April, due to Nintendo focusing too much on Japan. And yes, I hope Brawl fails sale-wise in the Americas after Nintendo screwed us over, in all honesty. What goes around comes around, b****es!

Seriously though, if we don't get the game before April 15th expect it to come out in August. And that is NOT a joke. Remember, Nintendo mainly cares about the Japanese fanbasse, and our money, and that is when they get the most of both. And they even block our Wii-modding, those mother f***ers!

Amen. Well i think that most people would just cancel their preorder after the next delay

I understand your sentiment and hell yes I'm pissed. Thanks to the delay my regard for any spoilers has gone down the crapper. However a few things from this thread plus the Japanese certainly getting their hands on it at the end of the month makes it certain that the game won't hit any more forseen snags.

I hope the guys in Europe get it soon too.

Everytime Brawl gets delayed i get depressed, if they keep delaying it over and over i'm gonna end up like an emo.


I don't know what to think about another delay maybe its possible, if the game gets released on the 31st in Japan maybe its safe to say it won't get delayed in the US again or it won't be a big delay.

TP was basically done and ready to go in 2005, but they wanted to add Wiimote functionality. Since the Wii wasn't ready to launch until Nov. 2006, TP had to wait and launch with it.

I wouldn't be surprised. I didn't think it was likely for them to delay the game again after giving a specific date, but look what happened.

This would be a very rare things for a game to do, delay it only a week and a half before the game comes out. Obviously the game is finished they just need to make disks, manuals etc...

They have no reason to delay it now
first time was to protect Galaxy, second was to work on it more/get more hype.

It can happen but there is a low chance it might happen. Then again the only way we can really know is if we knew what the delays were for and what problems were being faced.

Everyone complaining about Sakurai and the fact that he has delayed the game before - Remember this:

If he didn't, you would not be playing an as completed version of the game. Would you have really liked to get the game earlier with less content/polish? i personally am fine with the development team delaying it... however, this delay is seemingly pointless to the actual development of the game.

I just don't like seeing you all bag on Sakurai... he is easily one of the last standing game developers that would go to such great lengths to give YOU what he feels is his absolute BEST. Can you really blame someone when all they want is for you to absolutely enjoy their game?

Brawl won't get delayed again. It got delayed so they could promote it more and so more copies could be made. Unless a huge theft of many copies happens brawl will not be delayed again, and if someone got a hold of many copies it would surface on the internet anyways

I find it hard to believe that you people have the money to buy passport and a plane ticket to Japan and outright murder the very person who's put his heart, soul, blood sweat and tears in to this game for you, for me, even for Bobby B. from down the street.

First of all I'd hope you could cover up your tracks, 'cause if you're caught you can't run back to the US, crying 'cause the mean old Japanese people were gonna punish you for a criminal offense. No, as I know that if you break a law in another country, you play by their rules. And last I checked, murder in Japan can get you between 5-10 years in jail or even the death penalty.

Which leads me to my next point:
Are you people really that daft that you'll throw your lives away over A VIDEO GAME! Are you people that blind, dumb, deaf and ******** all at the same time!? I mean I was upset about the delay, but I wasn't thinking "IM GUNNA KILL SAH-KOOR-AI!" I'll admit I overreacted a little I think when I posted on other boards and even this place (sift through my posts and be the judge on that), but I'm not that stupid or unrealistic. I do have the money to get a passport, but the plane ticket? Heh, yeah! In a snowball's chance in hell maybe. Plus, I'm not that stupid that I'll throw my life away 'cause I was pissed off that my vidja game didn't come out when I wanted.

I'm sorry, but you people have just spouted out so much pig crap about this matter, blowing it WAY out of proportion when you could possibly do something more oh I don't know constructive? Maybe play some games you haven't finished yet, try some new ones, spend time with friends and family, ask for more hours at work.

I don't see why there would be ANOTHER delay. The game is translated as it's made, and the Dojo is proof, it comes out in Japan in 2 weeks time, meaning it will go gold very soon, I don't think there will be another problem for the release in the Americas.

EDIT: And yeah, I was thinking about what Sakurai feels about Europe. When the game is released in US, or goes gold, will Sakurai even mention it? Or does he expect the EU gamers to be in the dark about the US or JP release dates when they're just a click away? How naive does he think we are

Sakurai to Europe: The game has been delayed to 2009, but don't worry! The US and JP games don't come out for AGES either, meaning you won't miss out lol! (ages meaning a week in Japan and a month in US) Of course we havn't told you their release dates yet. Who knows, they might not have one, and there is no real easy way for you to find out anyway, it's not the internet or anything, so don't worry
