So I've had my Wii for 'bout 3/4 of a year now, and I have:
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Wii Sports (YUCK!!!)
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (but of course :))

But now, my quest for more Wii games returns. And if you read my sig (hope you like it lol), you'll notice my disdain for the stupid games that just plainly makes the Wii suck (We Ski, plz!)! So I'll bold all the games that I considered to buy in this paragraph to make it easier for you all to sort through. Now I've played Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, and I really liked it, but the downside is the multiplayer is a little...lacking (and my family don't really like Wario Ware-ish games :(). Okami was excellent; I'll probably eventually buy it...I hope. I would buy Pokémon Battle Revolution, however, where I live it is impossible for me to get wi-fi where I live, making that a bit pointless to consider (though I did enter a tounament and lose in the semi-finals [not bad for my first tournament, eh?]). Metroid Prime 3 looks considerable, along with No More Heroes and Red Steel.

Sorry, but my question/invitation for discussion is: what Wii games do you all recommend and stronly like? Also, which Wii games do you all strongly dislike? Discuss now!

well, depends what you are into, if you like pmultiplayers games you should try Mario Kart Wii which is fun but now it somehow got less interesting since i've been playing it for about a month now, or if your into RPG's then Super Paper Mario should be a good filler, but again it all depends into what you like.

Metroid Prime 3 and LoZ: Twilight Princess are both awesome. Zach and Wiki is also a great point and click adventure game.

You.

Get in the car.

And go buy Okami.

Now.

Also, I see you have Galaxy... I think you'd like Super Paper Mario. It has the best storyline out of all of the Paper Mario games. Have you ever played them?

What?! SPM sucked. TTYD and the original blew it away.

On-topic: Pretty much any Nintendo game that doesn't have 'Wii' in the title. Especially Metroid and Zelda.

What!? You didn't like SPM??? That thing had enough plot twists to make my head spin. And a chapter where Mario gets a glimpse of Heaven / Hell. It was sheer rawk. Was it the side-scrolling gameplay you didn't like?

Yes, I'll have to get MP3 and LoZ:TP!

Oh yeah, I forgot!!! I did play some Mario Kart Wii and Super Paper Mario. Mario Kart Wii is cool, it's fun, and it's better than Double Dash (then again, DD wasn't that awesome, was it?). Super Paper Mario was actually decent, however, I haven't had the experience of playing the N64 and GC preceders. SPM was fun; it didn't center on the motion sensor action; it only really used it with the items (which I was REALLY impressed with that idea *2 thumbs up*).

Uhm...I prefer games like Ratchet and Clank (which OMFG declined ever since Up Your Arsenal), Dynasty Warriors (I know, I know, forgive me), Smash, Pokémon (but w/o the huge emphasis for the kiddy section). idk, I'm pretty open to a alot of games (except Mario Party 8, didn't like that lol).

one game that I don't recommend you getting is Sonic: and the Secret Rings which had a weird plot plus the gameplay style was different from anything that I'm used to which didn't do it for me, also don't get Mario & Sonic at the Olympics: that game is HORRIBLE!

If you've a mind to, you might wanna save some money for Sonic Unleashed. Most people hated Secret Rings (myself not included), but I think Unleashed is gonna be big.

I'll do a little copypasta from the Official Game Recommendation thread. This covers a few of the games coming out (one already did) soon that Wii owners should look into.

de Blob

Genre: Platformer
Releases: September 16, 2008.
IGN Synopsis: Only de Blob can flip, bounce and paint his way past the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation to launch a color revolution and save Chroma City from a future without color. Battle against massive tank battalions, speedy I.N.K.T. racers and elite Inky soldiers on your quest to free the citizens of Chroma City. Avoid hot plates, electric shocks and inky turrets to create your own path to the impenetrable I.N.K.T. Fortress. Just remember that the struggle to reclaim Chroma City is to be fought on your terms. Remix the city in your own image using custom paints, patterns and soundtracks. Super-size your blob to attack larger and stronger enemies. Join the Color Revolutionaries to refine your skills while making a mess. The race to rescue Chroma City has just begun, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.

Deadly Creatures

Genre: 3rd-Person Action/Adventure
Releases: October 8, 2008
IGN Synopsis: Deadly Creatures is a 3rd person action thriller set amidst a desert world of venomous terror, built exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. Players will control an armored Scorpion and a deadly Tarantula as they fight for survival against Gila monsters, lizards, black widows and many more terrifying creatures. Featuring intuitive motion controls and a deep combo-based combat system, Deadly Creatures is a thrilling mix of brutal creature-crushing action and suspenseful exploration of vast 360 degree desert and man-made environments. Gamers will explore this darkly compelling story through the eyes of two of the world's most deadly creatures.

Wario Land: Shake It!

Genre: 2D Platformer
Releases: September 29, 2008
IGN Synopsis: Wario Land: Shake It!, a classic side-scroller for the Wii console stars Wario, the smelly, bad-mannered alter ego of Mario. With the Wii Remote controller turned sideways like an old-school controller, veterans and newcomers alike can run, jump and smash their way through hectic side-scrolling stages. Players shake the Wii Remote to help Wario take down his enemies, empty bags of treasure or cause earthquakes. Best of all, there are numerous stages each offering multiple missions to keep players coming back again and again to unlock everything, collect more coins or just improve their best times.

MLB Power Pros 2008

Genre:
Sports--Baseball
Releases: July 28, 2008
IGN Synopsis: The Power Pros take to the field again in this unique baseball game that has the comedic visual appeal of miniature Major League Baseball player players while still delivering the fun with easy-to-use controls and addictive gameplay.

With over ten different exciting game modes including the traditional Practice, Exhibition, League and Home Run Challenge modes, MLB Power Pros 2008 will bring fans closer to the action than ever before. Gamers also get the opportunity to act as general manager and control the destiny of their own franchise in Season mode, or engage in entertaining role-playing story modes such as Success and MLB Life modes. As general manager, gamers can trade, sign free agents, coordinate practice schedules, purchase new equipment, call up and send down players from the Minor Leagues, along with other management options to bring in fans, win playoff games and eventually, earn the title of World Series champion.

And, within the next fiscal year it'll add Animal Crossing: City Folk, The Conduit, Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop, Tiger Woods PGA Tour '09 All Play, MegaMan 9, and Call of Duty: World at War.

We've got a "What Game Should I Get?" topic which is a recommendation topic. We don't need another.
